Lambda Locator Achievement Bypass

This Guide will help you skip having to find all the Lambda Symbols and will take around 5 minutes to read and do. Please make sure to read every step carefully and don't ignore steps.
Finding out which Lambda Symbol you can get:
  1. Go to the file " gamestate.txt " most likely found at " C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\gamestate.txt "
  2. Open it with a txt editor, I recommend VS Code.
  3. Scroll Down to " "31" " or line 217
  4. Copy the hex code, will look like 0x00001FFFFFFFFFFF (it will look different depending on how many you have got.)
  5. Convert it to binary @ https://www.binaryhexconverter.com/binary-to-hex-converter
  6. Which should come out looking like this 000111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 (once again it will look different depending on how many you have got.)
  7. After the 000 each 1 or 0 is Lambda Symbol from first one on the right to the last one on the left.
  8. The first 0 you have starting from the right will be the one you go for eg: 000111111111111111000000000000000001111011111111 so it would be Lambda Symbol #9

Editing the gamestate.txt file:
  1. With your binary and the knowledge of the Lambda Symbol your going for edit your binary number eg: 000111111111111111000000000000000001111011111111 to have every other 0 turned to a one except for the one your going for eg: 000111111111111111111111111111111111111011111111
  2. Convert it back to a hex using the same website https://www.binaryhexconverter.com/binary-to-hex-converter eg: 000111111111111111111111111111111111111011111111 to eg: 1FFFFFFFFEFF
  3. Then before starting the game edit the gamestate.txt file with your new hex code. don't for 0x0000 has to be at the start of the hex eg: 0x00001FFFFFFFFEFF
  4. Then save.
Getting it!
  1. Start the game
  2. Select New game and skip to the chapter your Lambda Symbol is in.
  3. Remember you can't have cheats active.
  4. Then collect that Lambda Symbols loot and you should get the achievement fully done without it saying (11/35) or whatever
