Papier-mache is a composite material consisting of paper pieces or pulp, sometimes reinforced with textiles, bound with an adhesive, such as glue, starch, or wallpaper paste. Papier-mache sculptures are used as an economical building material for a variety of traditional and ceremonial activities, as well as in arts and crafts.

I've been thinking about creating a pattern which would match any weapons shapes for a while (I mean match "holistically" so the result looks like a real-life customized weapon). I realized that papier mache would work great thanks to the variety of different pattern randomization styles and techniques that allowed me to reach the result I'm happy with.
