How the frequency of the RAM affects the FPS in the game
By neo3703
A small guide on choosing the frequency of RAM for Assassin's Creed Odyssey
What RAM to choose, do you need overclocking RAM for? What is the gain from overclocking?
The selection guide has a comparison of DDR3 1333 - 2133 MHz and DDR4 2400 - 3600 MHz. Which will help you choose the frequency of RAM.
We all know that the higher the frequency of RAM, the higher the FPS. But few people think about whether it makes sense and what kind of growth it will bring.
Not always a high frequency of RAM is equivalent to an increase in FPS.

@MysticalPotato not entirely true having too little can become a major issue. :ALgrrremoji: When the game needs to be pulling random assets to load in not enough RAM can have severe effects ranging from lack of items loading in to HARSH lag to load in levels. And depending how little RAM. Other graphical related issues can stack up till the game just flat out memleaks :ALshockemoji:

You have no idea what you're saying and admit it.

CPU, thats it. You're running better RAM with the better CPU

I know I'm just saying not everyone will see a noticeable improvement. I have 3200mhz ram but run it at 3000 for stability as I have 4 sticks. I see no difference in performance if I run it at 2133 or 3200. Maybe 1 or 2 frames. YMMV of course, sorry didnt mean to diss your article

It has been proven many times over you only get very small gains with RAM frequency. CPU frequency and your GPU are far more important
