Tier 1 Unit Making
The first unit making method we have, is called the Gather It Yourself Method, you get the idea, right?
If not, here's how to do it:
  1. Look on the No Man's Sky Wiki[nomanssky.fandom.com] for a good unit selling material.
  2. Gather as much of it as you can.
  3. Sell as much of it as you can.
And we're done, the real way to do this, is to do these 3 steps many Many MANY times.
Tier 2 Unit Collection
The next one, is called the Automatic Collection Method, you might not understand this, but here's how to do it:

  1. First, unlock the Survey Device, Mineral Extractor (Gas Extractor if you want to use gases) and Supply Depot from your nearest Space Anomaly, if you haven't already.
  2. Second, Use the Survey Device's Visor upgrade to find a Deep-Level Mineral Deposit (Concentrated Gas Cloud if you want to use gases)
  3. Next, build a bunch of Mineral Extractors (Gas Extractors if you want to use gases) making sure not to connect too many extractors to one supply network, as this slows the extraction rates, and in return, unit making rates, i would recommend 1 extractor per depot network, but if this isn't possible, just try your best to get close.
  4. Finally, finish it off by building Lots Of Supply Depots, to store the material output.
  5. You can then sell the output material, and get lots of Units, depending on the material you are mining.
The reason why not to connect too many extractors to a single depot network is listed on the No Man's Sky Wiki[nomanssky.fandom.com], Here's the bit of text that comfirms this:
"adding more extractors linked together decreases their output significantly," -No Man's Sky Wiki
This Method is used for almost every tier, so make sure you remember how.
Tier 3 Units Units Units!
This Section is never going to be available, as the required guide, has been deleted, if you make a similar guide, please let me know.
Guide Type:
Duplication "Glitches" In No Man's Sky
Tier 4 Chromatic Material Shop
This is the first Tier that covers Advanced Topics, make sure that you have read Tier 2 before starting.

Let's try to expand our mining setup (community if you are being helped by your friends) from Tier 2,
First, check to see which hyperdrive upgrades you have, if you don't have a hyperdrive installed in your starship, get to the end of the Expanding The Base[nomanssky.fandom.com] mission, then follow the questline until you unlock the hyperdrive at a crashed freighter, continue following the questline, as it directs you towards crafting it, and warp cells to fuel it, for the rest of this guide, i assume you have completed this basic task.
If you don't have any drive upgrades, start from step 1.
If you have a cadmium drive, start from step 5
If you have a emril drive, start from step 9
If you have a indium drive, start from step 13
  1. Collect lots of copper, then refine into Chromatic Metal.
  2. Collect Wiring Looms. (12 to be exact)
  3. Unlock the Cadmium Drive, unlocked at the Space Anomaly for 80 Nanites.
  4. Craft the Cadmium Drive, with 250 Chromatic Metal, and 3 Wiring Looms.
  5. Warp to a Red System using 20% of your HyperDrive's fuel.
  6. Collect lots of Cadmium.
  7. Unlock the Emril Drive, unlocked at the Space Anomaly for 120 Nanites.
  8. Craft the Emril Drive, with 250 Cadmium, and 4 Wiring Looms.
  9. Warp to a Green System using 20% of your HyperDrive's fuel.
  10. Collect lots of Emril.
  11. Unlock the Indium Drive, unlocked at the Space Anomaly for 200 Nanites.
  12. Craft the Indium Drive, with 250 Emril, and 5 Wiring Looms.
  13. Warp to a Blue System using 20% of your HyperDrive's fuel.
Now we're at a Blue, Indium System, and have the hyperdrive to go back to your main base, and to the indium system again.

So first, i want to make it clear that the name of this tier is assuming that you used the steps in tier 2 to find cadmium and emril, so now let's continue.

So, we're in a Indium System (As i call it, you may call it something different) where we can find ultimate riches! Indium is the most valueable (automatable) Rescource in the game, so we just repeat the steps in tier 2 to find indium, and mine it forever!!!

  1. First, Use the Survey Device's Visor upgrade to find a Class A Indium Deposit
  2. Next, build a bunch of Mineral Extractors making sure not to connect too many extractors to one supply network, as this slows the extraction rates, and in return, unit making rates, i would recommend 1 extractor per depot network, but if this isn't possible, just try your best to get close.
  3. Finally, finish it off by building Lots Of Supply Depots, to store the material output.
  4. You can then sell the Indium, and get lots of Units.
  5. OR you can sell this Indium (and other Chromatic Materials) to your friends!
Tier 5 Copper, Cadmium, Emeril, Indium!
As we learned in the last Tier, Indium is one of the most valuable resources in No Man's Sky, but the other Chromatic Materials are worth a lot too!

    .
  1. Warp to a Red, Cadmium System.
  2. Use the Survey Device's Visor upgrade to find a Cadmium Deposit.
  3. Build a bunch of Mineral Extractors making sure not to connect too many extractors to one supply network, as this slows the extraction rates, and in return, unit making rates, i would recommend 1 extractor per depot network, but if this isn't possible, just try your best to get close.
  4. Build Lots Of Supply Depots, to store the Cadmium.
  5. Warp to a Green, Emril System.
  6. Use the Survey Device's Visor upgrade to find a Emril Deposit
  7. Build a bunch of Mineral Extractors making sure not to connect too many extractors to one supply network, as this slows the extraction rates, and in return, unit making rates, i would recommend 1 extractor per depot network, but if this isn't possible, just try your best to get close.
  8. Build Lots Of Supply Depots, to store the Emril.
  9. Warp to a Blue, Indium System.
  10. Use the Survey Device's Visor upgrade to find a Indium Deposit
  11. Build a bunch of Mineral Extractors making sure not to connect too many extractors to one supply network, as this slows the extraction rates, and in return, unit making rates, i would recommend 1 extractor per depot network, but if this isn't possible, just try your best to get close.
  12. Build Lots Of Supply Depots, to store the Indium.
And, now we're done, that was quick, wasn't it?
Tier 6 Activating Unit Mining
Have you ever wondered why on some planets, they don't have copper, but activated copper?
Or the same for Cadmium, Emril, or Indium?
If you go on one of those planets, they will tell you (along with you hazard protection infomation) that they are "Extreme" and their (Activated) Copper (or cadmium, emril or indium) can't be used in any recipes!I
We can take advantage of being in a planet with extreme weather, since Activated Copper, Cadmium, Emril And Indium is worth more than their Non-Activated counterparts. (And I think a certain type of extreme weather affects mining production output! Radiation, isn't it?)

So, let's say we have an Extreme Radiation Planet in the system you are currently using for Indium Mines, you can tell from the discoveries view weather it's extreme enough of not, because it will say it has activated indium and the font of the weather name will be in red, so let's go out there and mine some (Activated) Indium!
You know the drill by now, don't you!
  1. Warp to the Blue, Indium System.
  2. Use the Survey Device's Visor upgrade to find a Class S Activated Indium Deposit
  3. Build a bunch of Mineral Extractors making sure not to connect too many extractors to one supply network, as this slows the extraction rates, and in return, unit making rates, i would recommend 1 extractor per depot network, but if this isn't possible, just try your best to get close.
  4. Build Lots Of Supply Depots, to store the Activated Indium.
Now you should be rich with Activated Indium, which makes you EVEN MORE Rich in UNITS!!!
You can do the same using all the other Chromatic Materials of course.

There, i changed it to compensate for this.

"You can stack them on top of eachother, you just can't link them to the same depot. You can go up to world limit stacking extractors but as long as you don't link them to the same depot you're fine. 1 extractor to 1 depot and its fine" I wasn't very sure about that, but some people once said it slowed extraction rates, maybe they just thought that was it. (it was Z1 Gaming, a channel you should definitely check out!)

"what kind of mineral did u recommend to mine?" -israwqlf I'm not so sure, there are many different ones, but in the higher tiers, i would absolutely recommend the option of a Activated Indium Mine, i already have one. (not just one, but many!)
