Even if it may hurt to have a few live or dead branches cut off, how can a tree bare fruit if it's roots aren't firmly ingrained in solid ground. That is what a descent pruning does for a plant, cut of the bad and some parts straying too far and plants response is to dig it's roots further into the ground to get more water and nutrients from there, grow stronger. a young tree without deep roots cant survive a long drought. Without sanctification, changed lives for Christ just return to old habits and resent those who tried to guide them with only knowing so much. Yes I am also talking about myself in this. Every day is a day to be better than the last, and only Christ went without sinning, and we may sin less, but we won't be perfect here on earth.

I pray for repentance ( that is being sorry and not doing such again), Justification through Jesus God's son that your sins be forgiven, and sanctification (becoming more Christ-like: reading / learning / studying His word) preferably with Christians that have been reading em'. "Iron sharpening iron", to help each other through trials, care enough about each other to disagree and even prove biblically if someone needs to change xyz before they choose to jump into something that'll ruin them. We all got stuff to weed out in our lives that we may be blind to. Always work on bettering yourself first, so you may be better at helping others, even if sometimes that is letting them fail and not lordin' over em' when it's done.
