So you picked Mars, the first son of heaven, mighty pimp of the the Ash Legion, more so known as the GOD OF WAR (best title to ever exist)

I've been playing this hero since it released, which was also when i lost my virginity. Loved every match with him and I mainly play the offlane role with him, I sometimes do weird pos4 or mid ♥♥♥♥ with him but that's for a different guide i'll be working on in the future. In this guide I will be sharing my tips and tricks on how to lose your virginity and unlock your pimp hand. I have this hero maxxed out in dota plus and his voice lines are one of the best things valve ever came up with.

-**IMPORTANT!!!**-
* Always tip Zeus after killing him, remember that Zeus kissed your mom Hera and shared grapes with her very wrongly (Don't ask how).
* If you have a mid Zeus in your team and is losing his lane, don't be a fool and gank for him, watch the old man suffer.
* If you have a support Zeus laning with you. Just feed and throw the game.
* Keep pinging Zeus mid.
* Use the report player button in post-game whenever Zeus was picked. Friend or foe, always select griefing.
* Whenever a friendly Zeus is denyable, just go for it.

- Meh sound design, musculine and has really nice pecs, sexy cast and attack animations, and a lot of manliness make Mars a very, very fun hero to play. He is a durable chonk boi frontline tank with great team-fight control abilities.

Mars is the most chadlike laner and team fight initiator.

In the lane, he plays a bit like Tide. He takes less damage from passive harass than most heroes (like Tide with Kraken) and has an AoE nuke that uses his attack damage, similar to Anchor Smash.

Later on, he has a huge team-fight spell and usually he needs Blink to fully utilize it. Like Tide, Mars needs allies that can follow-up and deal damage during his ultimate to win the fight, otherwise, it could easily be wasted. Arena of Blood is a bit harder to land optimally than Ravage because of the smaller AoE (still big), but it has the potential for a higher impact because it splits up the enemy team extremely efficiently. Thanks to Blink + Spear, he is a bit better at ganking than Tide, who loves 5-man Dota exclusively.


Since your main contribution in fights is your AoE control and initiation while other heroes are the main damage dealers, Mars is a great hero to get utility items on. This will make you extremely hard to bring down while giving value to your whole team in 5-man fights.
