Purple Hat and Pizza box console commands for Rare/Rarest Specimen and Pepperoni Precipitation

If you are like me and have lost the Purple Hat or the Pizza Box while taking them through Black Mesa and then Xen, then you are probably looking at a way to get them back. Maybe you forgot where you kept the item or pressed Quick-Save in the wrong time.
You can get them back with the help of the console and few commands in classic source engine fashion.

Please take notice that I do not condone Achievement spoofing. That defeats the whole purpose.

How to activate the console

In steam, add -console to your launch options as shown in the image:

You should also check which key you are using to show the console. I changed mine to comma (,):

You are now ready for entering the console commands. While you are playing, press the button you bound to call the console and it should pop down (and pause the game).

Console commands

To spawn the Purple Hat write the following:

prop_physics_create props_junk/tomabasarab_quaff.mdl

This will drop the hat in front of you. Now while aiming at the hat, activate the console again and type:

ent_setname quaff

The last step is important, otherwise you will get a generic hat.

Similarly for the Pizza Box, for spawning it:

prop_physics_create props_canteen\pizza_box.mdl

and to name it, while aiming at the box:

ent_setname drhornspizza

why after loading a game both the pizza and the hat became solid? i cant move them

Lost a save where I had carried both to Xen due to an update. That was pure BS. Not wasting my life doing this again.

i did not use any commands for a hat and pizza but it is still useful for some players

Thanks so much! My pizza box disappeared while I did the three rooms at the end of Interloper, and I was save-scumming to get the Laser Immunization achievement so i lost my old saves. Now I can finally keep going!
