First of all, you will need to go to modbot.org, make sure you wait a billion years for it to load because it was made off of bare html, after, click "Download modbot", it will not be a direct download link but skip its instructions and look at mine.

After, there will be a direct download link for the modbot installer, just make a folder in whatever drive you want, (I would do D:\ unless that's your boot drive.) Then, go through the installation process, then open up modbotlauncher.exe, it will ask you where your clone drone in the danger zone folder is, locate it, (usally in D:\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\Clone Drone In The Danger Zone, if not then C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\Clone Drone In The Danger Zone)

After selecting the folder, you will be prompted with two buttons: Close and install modbot, click install modbot, this will install all its folders and files, then, click open game and click mods > Browse mods, DO NOT CLICK INSTALL ON THEM, it will break your game, instead, go to the website page of it, install from there, copy its contents to your mods folder, (Do make a folder in the mods folder by the name of *insert the mod you are going to install's name*) After, reload the game from modbot launcher and check the mods button again, if your mod appears on the first page of it, you successfully installed modbot and a mod included, give yourself a pat on the back,
