To those who are having issues with "Wait for host" while joining any server in MP:

PLS NOTE: This Guide was first tested with Windows 7.

I tried it with Windows 10 and it worked too.

Original Guide from ARMA 2: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/33930/discussions/0/617328415067425018/

Thanks to "Honest Jon" on the CCG forums, a solution has been found for many of those who haven't been able to join servers recently.

"Try this

reset winsock from the command prompt run as ADMIN and then type netsh winsock reset

Worked for Others in Arma 1 and Arma 2 aswell.

Here is some info on winsock
http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/windows-tips-tutorials-articles/35087-reset-winsock-windows-7-8-a.html"

Steps how to fix it:
Press "Start"
Search for "CMD"
Once the cmd prompt has opened, continue to type "netsh winsock reset"
Press enter, then type "netsh int ipv4" and press enter again.
After this, restart your computer and try run arma2 or any game affected!

Please comment on this if it works or doesn't work for you, sharing information with others that have the same issue really helps.
