Getting started.
Right click on fire fight in your library,
it will open a menu go to properties. From there go to local files, and then "Browse". It will open up file explorer, "Data" should be at the top go into it.

Next is finding the unit you wish to edit! For this guide i will be using "Waffen SS Section 1" The sections dictate how advanced the squad is, and how late or early it is in the war, section 1 of the ss, is used through 1939, and 40 i believe, no later then that. Section 2; 1941 etc etc, so on and so on.

So Scroll down to the unit you wish to edit, open the text file, if you have never edited these, then it can seem quite overwhelming for the first time. Do not fret, I am here :))) The final step is editing the text file.

This guide we will be replacing riflemen with MG'Ss. The photo i put below is what makes a unit,it has the specified weapon, ammo grenades, etc, this

Its really simple, all you must do is edit the weapon, i will show you how to do this.

Scroll down to the bottom of the text file until you see the MG, it is highlighted in blue.

You will want to copy the text highlighted as; <weapon><type>WEAPON_LMG_MG34</type></weapon>

Not the ammo part, as you can change it later. Now scroll to a riflemen, i have highlighted it below

replace the <weapon><type>WEAPON_RIFLE_KARABINER</type></weapon> With the <weapon><type>WEAPON_LMG_MG34</type></weapon>

You can change the ammo below, its labeled, <ammo>, change the number from rounds 50, to whatever you desire. You can remove the rifle kar ammo as well as your units will not be using the rifle.

Repeat this with other riflemen to have a full squad of mg's!

I have explained this the best as i can, if you have questions please ask. Ill make tutorial on how to change the armour of tanks, if people want it.

Use a custom game to try it out. Dont worry, if you messed something up, or want to revert back to old settings, simply go back to local files, and click, "View integrity of game files" and it will revert every file back to normal.

Its possible to create a new squad, rather than editing an existing one?

What about vehicles? How can we change their weapons, armor and speed?
