***GENERATION UPDATED AND CLEANUP FOR 6.3***

CA Sofia took some great steps to update the slann but the mod remains necessary in my opinion to do them true justice.

Almost direct port from my WH2 mod. The slann are supposed to be the strongest magic users in the WH lore so I added some spells to them plus increased the effects of their generation.

With the changes to the magic system I decided to give them access to bound spells instead of more normal spells through their skill tree in order to minimise invasiveness. When you pick the skills bellow you get the normal effects plus access to a bound spell that makes thematic sense.

Telekinenis gives access to Wind Blast (4 uses).

Reserves of Eldritch Energy gives access to Chain Lightning (2 uses).

Soul of Stone gives access to Pha's Protection (4 uses).

Harrowing Scrutiny gives access to Enfeebling Foe (4 uses).

Arcane Convergence gives access to the Comet of Cassadora (1 use).

Transcended Healing gives access to Earth Blood (4 uses)

Higher State of Consciousness gives -25% to all spell cooldowns.

The spells are available to all Slann since they share those skills. This means that Lord Mazdamundi and Kroak have even more room to play with their devastating powers.

******** If you cannot see a bound spell during combat around your characters portrait it is because you have more than 8 activatable abilities and UI can only handle 8 at a time including items (eg Potions) and abilities like Rally. You can download a mod that increases the UI buttons from the workshop in that case. ********

***GENERATION DETAILS UPDATED FOR 6.3***

Slann generation now gives more winds of magic reserves, spell intensity and provides research speed. The reason for this is that Lizardmen research is basically interpretation of the Great Plan by reading tablets. Older Slann are better at this, some might even straight out remember parts of it. Kroak was literally talking to the Old Ones directly, before they left the planet. Specifically:

THIS IS ON TOP OF THE EFFECTS CA GAVE THEM FOR EACH GENERATION.

4th gen gives: +20 reserves, +10% research speed, +20% spell intensity. Still a bit better spellcasters than what CA did with them now.

3rd gen gives: +40 reserves, +15% research speed, +40% spell intensity. Even stronger.

2nd gen: +80 reserves, +20% research speed, +80% spell intensity, now they also get the 50% extra range that Mazda has, making them the ultimate spellcasters along with the other stuff CA has given them.

***Mazda: His second generation skill is for some reason fixed and cannot be updated by the mod so what I did is that I added enough effects to his Venerated skill so the totals match what is in the Second Generation for the other Slann.***

Kroak: +100 reserves, +25% research speed, +100% spell intensity. Kroak must unlock this skill by levelling up, unlike the other slann, and he might as well be the best spellcaster around.

This indirectly buffs two Lizardmen factions. First, the faction of Lord Mazdamundi since now you enjoy +20% research speed from turn 1. This is okej since the faction was the most vanilla lizardmen faction with zero unique mechanics and Mazda was considered a lord that does not help his faction at all. Now he does.

The faction of Itza that starts with Kroak is also boosted (now you have +25% research speed as soon as you select his First generation skill).

In addition I made the Slann melee attack stronger (deals AP magical dmg) and more dangerous to infantry (larger splash radius).

Should be compatible with most mods as I have made sure to minimize the db lines affected. As long as the mods do not touch Slann you should be good.

New update: Cleaned up the effects of slann generation. Recruiting one should feel good and a big deal and now I believe it is closer to that goal than ever.
