Note: I only play Solo. I'm not sure if this will work for co-op/multiplayer.

I saw there was a large update and I didn't want the update just in case it broke what few mods I have and since I've not played for several months this would've complicated things even further while I'm trying to learn what's what again. It's also a big update and the game is already 100 GB. That's simply too much just to stare at my Thralls extremities. Then I thought I'll be nice and make a guide for anyone else who doesn't want the update at present due to mods, data usage or whatever reason. 🙂

First of all, you should have auto updates already off, or else you've already failed and the game is in the process of updating or updated already.

If you'd like to stop Steam from automatically updating the game, select "Only update this game when I launch it" from the game's Library page > Properties > Updates.

Navigate to top left corner of Steam where it says "Steam" and click this.

Now click "Go Offline..."

Navigate to the game directory.

Steam > SteamApps > common > Conan Exiles




and then go into the folder named "Launcher".


Now Run the application called "FuncomLauncher" which is located within this folder.

From here you will know what to do.

Now you can navigate back to the top left corner of the screen to where it says "Steam" and select "Go Online..." if you wish for your hours to be counted and probably for achievements.
