I'll just say this won't work for everyone and this is just a personal fix that has worked for me 👍
I also noticed this only works for me when I only use alt-tab. Clicking the game on the taskbar still doesn't work:( Please favorite the guide if this helped you somehow<33

Step 1: Find your game's .exe

Locate Game Properties from The Taskbar

Right click on your game on the taskbar. And Right click again on "ASBR.exe". Click Properties

Step 2: Disable "Fullscreen Optimizations"

Head over to the "Compatibility" tab.

Find "Disable fullscreen optimizations".

Make sure it is checked✔️

Borderless windows are still windows. You can alt-tab back and forth between them like you can with any other window.

The game has been unwilling to open after tabbing out for me and some friends, so I figured it wasn't just us. It won't open unless you click a bunch of times on the taskbar

I thought the game was in borderless by default. How is alt tabbing breaking the game for others? To be frank, I do use a second monitor, and I don't think you can tab down borderless windows.
