Brutal Blood

Always tought the blood textures in Alyx were repetitive and there wasnt any blood mod,so i made new ones inspired by real forensics pictures and live leak videos

Features

-Animated blood dripping down and sometimes meat chunks and bits if an enemy is near a wall.


-36 variations of realistic hand animated blood pools that form dynamically and even dry after a few minutes



-splashes,droplets and squirts of blood directional of where the combine is shot


-remodeled the explosion gore and added extra particles to CementStairs dismemberment mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2891235430 !!brutal blood needs to be enambled AFTER dismember mod!! "so always after you enabled your addons just enable brutal blood LAST and start your level or new game.
by default only explosions will cause gore because i havent got to make the weapons gore models yet,if you still want dismember for guns you need to enter "brutal_compatibility_dism_only_explosions 0" in the console,it will use a unfinished combination of both og and new models.



-changed the wounds for the combine as much as it was possible,the wounds are now 4k and headshots have more of a exposed brain texture.

-more intense and high quality Alien blood splatters

-most of the blood stays for over 5 minutes for a messy aftermath in total over 100 high quality high res textures have been made from scratch,this variety of textures makes every kill feel unique.

!!!all these features need scalable init support enabled without you will only get the replaced vanilla splatters!!!

!!!for Gunman Chapters only!!! (includes its own blood splatters) in order to have my blood splatters you will have to enable brutal blood in addons settings AFTER any of the gunman chapters so it can overwrite it.!!!

with the dismemberment mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2891235430 do this: in your manage addons enable dismemberment mod and AFTER brutal blood also scalable init support,if you dont see the splatters on the walls from explosion gore it means you didnt enable brutal blood last

like i said only explosion gore is enabled for now due to me not modelling guns gore yet(tons of work) and also cause i dont like how the pistol decapitates grunts.

if you want to make blood splatters and bullet holes stay forever(or adjust the number to your liking) put "+r_decals_default_start_fade 700" in alyx properties launch command
