Testing for this was done in the beginner train (SG6).

When you see that there are animals on the tracks ahead, make sure you know where your horn is.

For keyboard it is "X"

You don't need to slow down (SG6 has max speed of 100km/s and testing was done at that speed)

Honk your horn when the animal is less than 200m from you, don't wait too long there is a point (untested yet) where the horn will not save you in time. You can hold the horn as you approach and cross the 200m line and it will work fine.

Do NOT just hold the horn, use short honks.
