I used Midjourney, and based on space artist Vadim Sadovski (some Stellaris mod use his pictures too and they look great.) The prompt is as follows: the Shroud from videogame Stellaris. Dramatic volumetric light, some purple energy flow. Digital art by Vadim Sadovski

@Jack_Hazardous it's actually already possible, AI can generate seamless textures so it can make semi-assets. I tried to generate seamless world stone texture and I was amazed.

I always thought of the Shroud as like the Warp from Warhammer 40k.
It's the immaterium, a realm of existence that doesn't exist with matter, not as we know or understand it. To behold the warp with human eyes, that only understand matter and 3 dimensions, would drive a person insane, because they couldn't comprehend what their eyes saw.
