Achievements
Tales of Escape's achievements are really simple. All achievements can be done solo or with multiple players. They will unlock for everyone in the party at the same time. All players need to own the DLC level to be able to play it.

There are 16 achievements. Everything is covered in the walkthrough below.

↳ The Mine
First Room
Flip the fuel pump and start the generator in the middle of the room. Doing so turns on the lights in the hallway in the corner.

On the wall near the suspended basket is a rotating pipes puzzle. Connect the wires and switch the air compressor. A small safe drops. Count the columns in each photo on the wall: 6, 1, 4, 3. Use 6143 to open the safe. Inside is a crank.

Use the crank on the device holding the basket up to lower it. Examine the toolbox inside. Find four codes and an arrow. Starting from the arrow, they are: 2785, 4945, 9526, and 3017.

Find the code-locked locker in the corner. 1234 is written on the side. Take the second number from the toolbox codes to form a new code: 7950. Use 7950 to unlock the locker. Inside are light-bulbs.

Grab a light-bulb and take it down the hallway with the lights. Place it in the empty light. Repeat with a second light-bulb to access the room at the end.

Second Room
Still in the first room, next to the crank machine is a bag on the floor. Look inside to find four cards: a 2 of clubs, 5 of hearts, 7 of spades, and 9 of diamonds. Go to the second room to find a locked safe. Use the numbers on the cards to unlock it: 9275. Inside are a bunch of up/down arrows.

Use the arrows on the light switches behind you. From left to right: up, down, down, up, down. Lights go on.

Inside the safe was a piece of paper. Place it in the frame on the desk. There's two pieces missing. On the left is a locked cupboard. Open bottom section to find another piece. One left. On the right are two lockers. Find the last piece inside. Examine the completed picture for a code: 5218.

Use 5218 to open the cupboard. Grab the screwdriver. Use it to unlock a box on the ground (it's left of the safe on the floor). Grab a boot inside.

Examine the heel of the boot to find two numbers: 09. Examine the other boot for 12. Use 0912 to unlock the safe on the floor. Grab the T-handle.

Return to the first room, past the generator to a blasting machine. Use the T-handle and trigger the explosives. Enter the third room beyond.

Third Room
At the end of the hallway is the third room. Find the locked box on the floor. Above it is lots of tally marks. Stare hard enough to see the horizontal marks spell 1613. Use 1613 to unlock the locked box on the floor. Grab the cleaver.

In the opposite corner is a rope holding up a coffin. Use the cleaver to drop it. Grab the skeleton arm(s) and place it on the body. It gives you a sledgehammer.

Use the sledgehammer to destroy a barrel in the corner. Inside is a gear. Grab the gear and use it to unlock the elevator in the first room. Take it down.

Down Below
Grab the nearby pickaxe. Use it to break the lock on the wooden door. Find the prime numbers on the wall. Written smallest to largest: 3, 7, 2, 5. Use 3725 to unlock the explosives box. Place the dynamite at the end of the cable in the wooden door, trigger it and exit.
↳ Illusion
Cells
Grab the water from the high shelf and exit your cell. Give it to the banging inmate in return for a key. Use the key to unlock a container in the starting cell. Mentally turn the picture upside-down to see it's a number line. Marked are 87 and 89. Use 8789 to unlock the security guard office.

See a note on the floor: * + + - =. Combine the maths symbols with the numbers on the locked locker in the hallway: 10*100+200+300-11=1489. Unlock the locker with 1489 and take the fuse. Place it in the power box to turn on the power in the office.

Open the desk drawer. Examine the envelopes and note the birth years: 1925, 1931, 1928, 1936. Use the four codes to open the four lockers in the corner.

In the third locker is a key. Use it to unlock a cabinet in the corner. Press the buttons. This opens a cupboard in the first cell. Grab the metal plate. Use the metal plate to cover the eye chart in the office.

Use up, down, left, down to unlock the cupboard. Use a battery from the second locker to power the flashlight. Grab the flashlight and peek inside the dark cell for a message about adding 3 to a book.

One of the books in the office is called 1939, so open the safe on the desk with 1942. Inside are two patient cards. Grab the food from the fourth locker and give it to the prisoner for another patient card. Finally, find a fourth patient card in a drawer in the first cell.

Use the patient cards and note how many pills each patient takes per day and the numbers on the backside. Arranging them from largest to smallest in terms of pills taken, get the code: 2203. Use it to unlock the door at the end of the hall.

Oblivion or freedom. It doesn't matter.

Capsule
Grab the screwdriver on the floor and open the cover on the oxygen tanks. Look outside to find 'UN1967'. Use 1967 to release the oxygen and buy more time.

Grab the mirror on the floor and place it in the light. Look at where the light shines on the wall. Use 1526 to unlock the door. In the next room, press the red button to open another door. Flip the three levers to turn off the alarm.

Return to the previous room to see 6552 appear on the window. Use it to open the locker in the third room.

Find the four blue planets and place them into the slots in the second room.
  • First room - bed
  • Second room - table
  • Third room - control panel
  • Third room - 6552 locker

This unlocks the locker in the first room. Look at the picture in the locker. It says "OASA". Use that (6272) as the password on the black panel. Follow the pattern revealed to unlock the next door (1379).

Grab the keycard in the 6552 locker and use it to turn on the console in the new room. Use the hints on the panel to figure out the code.
  • Earth is the third planet from the sun
  • Low oxygen is error 7
  • Missing number is 9
  • Zero gravity in space
Use 3790 and flip the lever.

Hallway
Press the red button at the end of the hall. Return to the start and watch the screen. Count the skulls: 2432. Use it to unlock the door.

Bedroom
Grab the picture of the chest on the wall that matches the slot on the chest in the corner. Open it for a key.

Use the key to unlock the bedside table. Use the knife inside to cut the rope on the wardrobe. Look at the photo, turn it around to find "7pm 3/6/12".

Open the other bedside table to find dominoes. Place dominoes in the slots on the left wardrobe using the 7 3 6 12 hint behind the photo. Should be the 6-1, 1-2, 3-3, 6-6.

New photo, new hint: 5/9/11. This is for the clock. Use the cog to spin the hour hand and lever to input. Turn to 5 o'clock, pull lever, 9 o'clock, pull lever, 11 o'clock, pull lever. This opens the middle wardrobe.

In the middle wardrobe is a picture of dolls. Also, look at the pictures next to the bed: black dress, blue water, yellow sunlight, green tree, red fire. Use these two hints to place the dolls on the shelves on the wall in order: black, blue, yellow, green, red.

A cubby opens with a key inside. Use the key on the chest at the foot of the bed and pick up the pills inside.
↳ Sleepy Hollow
Graves
Go down the path and note the unmatching heights of the 10 tombstones on either side of the path. At the end of the path are five levers. Pulling a lever cycles through different heights of a tombstone on one side. Match the heights of the tombstones with the one opposite. Do this by pulling the levers at either end twice, and the one in the middle once. This reveals a pumpkin with letters on it.

Spell 'KEY' on the pumpkin to get the key inside. Use it to unlock the cellar at the end of the path.

Cellar
Read the note on the shelf above the bed. It's dated 28/10/1776. Use 1776 to unlock the cupboard to find a key. Use it to unlock the chest by the bed.

Use the lighter inside to burn the wallpaper where it says "Light the Way". Reveal 6359. Use it to unlock the safe on the floor.

See the colours on the keypad by the door: blue, red, green, yellow. Find all the books in the room, including inside the things you opened. There should be 7 blue, 5 red, 6 green, 2 yellow. Use 7562 on the door.

Look at the crosses on the wall. From smallest to largest, use them to figure out the light switch combination. X is nothing (down), LIFE is up, PRIDE is down, GOD is down, DEATH is up. Grab the pickaxe.

Use the pickaxe on the X on the wall. Use the code (1619) to unlock the locker.

See A, B, C and 1216. A is the 5341 on the left wall, B is 1216 in the locker, C is 2232 on the right wall. The chest says A+B+C, so the correct code is 8789.

We now have ABCD in descending size and A-5 B-2 C-1 D-4. Take the 5th letter of the largest word, 2nd letter of the second largest, 1st letter of the third, and 4th of the smallest. This spells HOPE. Use HOPE on the locker for a crowbar.

Open the door and go upstairs.

Upstairs
Look at the pews on the right. They each have a letter on the back: I, B, D, and L. Go to the bookcase and pull out the books corresponding to each letter.

Grab the book and place it on the pulpit. Find those symbols around the room. 1 is on the pulpit, 2 and 3 are on the columns, 4 is in the starting room with the bed. Press the symbols on the book in order: upper-right, lower-right, lower-left, upper-left.

Grab the magic wand in the drawer and use it on the pumpkins in the room with the coffin. Reveal four symbols. Press the symbols on the coffin: ♃🜁♀🜔.

Grab the heart and put it in the box with Lily's Collins' heart. Reveal a new code. It's actually 54²9, so put 5169 into the nearby chest. Grab the shovel and break the lock on the door.

Grab the head in the chest and through the door.

Back outside, go to the tomb near the levers. Open it and place the head inside.
↳ Estate Escape
Bedroom
Take the painting above the bed off the wall to find a key and note. The note tells you to use fire. The key unlocks the cupboard near the windows. Find a second note.

Grab the scissors on the bedside table and cut the rope tying the cupboard at the foot of the bed. Grab one of vials (middle-left one) and use it on the gas lamp on the desk. Use the second note on the lamp. It says you need to find the lockpick above the curtains.

Under one of the beds is a metal bar. Use it to knock down the lockpick above the curtains where the scissors were. Use it to leave the room. Go down the hall and enter the next door.

Dining Room
Look down to find a note hidden under the carpet. It tells you the key to the office is under some furniture and gives a hint to the next code.

Enter the dining room and find the locked cupboard beside the fireplace. Use 1210 to unlock it. Inside is a hammer. Return to the previous room and grab the chisel on nearby the cupboard. Put it in the windows bars. Use the hammer on the chisel to get the window bar.

Return to the dining room and look at the table. Notice how all six seats have different amounts of tableware. Starting from the least amount, activate the lamps behind each seat in number order. This moves the cupboard beside the clock.

Grab the window bar and use it to get the key under the clock. Unlock the office.

Office
Go the locked cupboard in the corner. Guess the combination until it shows 1234 as displayed, which is 1741. Inside are two dominoes and a key.

The key unlocks the small drawer which contains a note. It says the combination to the safe is the name of their first servant.

Find all the dominoes in the room. We just found two, another is on the desk, and the last is on the shelf behind the desk. Add the numbers on them for the combination 8763. Use it to unlock the chest besides the desk.

Read the book in the chest to see the first servant's name is ALICE.

Safe
At the end of the hall is a large bookcase. Use ALICE on the books to open the safe.

Inside is a safe with arrows. This corresponds with the arrows on the paintings:
  • Bedroom - up @ 9:00
  • Dining room - up @ 12:00
  • Office - down @ 3:00
  • Hallway - right @ 6:00

Going clockwise (hint is on the safe), input the code into the safe: up, down, right, up. Take the gold. Behind you is more gold on the small round table with a candle.

Continue down the hall and use NIEN to exit.
Abridged Walkthroughs
Abridged walkthroughs only cover puzzles that are necessary to progress through the level and don't explain how a solution was reached. As solutions are fixed between playthroughs, a lot of the puzzles can be skipped.
↳ The Mine
  • Flip the fuel pump and start the generator in the middle of the room.
  • Unlock the locker with 7950.
  • Grab a lightbulb, take it down the corridor and use it on the light.
  • Repeat with a second lightbulb to access the second room.
  • Flip the light switches: up, down, down, up, down.
  • Unlock the safe on the floor with 0912.
  • Grab the T-handle.
  • Return to the first room, and use the T-handle on the blasting machine.

  • Go to the third room.
  • Unlock the safe on the floor with 1613.
  • Grab the cleaver and cut the rope holding the coffin up.
  • Grab the left arm and use it on the skeleton.
  • Take the sledgehammer and destroy the barrel in the corner.
  • Grab the gear.
  • Return to the first room, repair the elevator and take it down.

  • Grab a pickaxe and remove the lock on the wooden door.
  • Unlock the chest with 3725.
  • Grab the dynamite, place it at the end of the cable in the wooden door.
  • Boom and exit.
↳ Cold as Ice
  • Read the wedding invite on the floor in front of the door.
  • Open the cash register.
  • Unlock the cabinet near the door with the key.
  • Read the hidden note inside.
  • Unlock the door with 4267.

  • Read the diploma inside a freezer in the near isle.
  • Read the newspaper on the floor near the exit.
  • Throw some trashbags in the corner and get on top of the freezer.
  • Open/close the freezer door until you clip through the wall (video reference). ("Expect the unexpected" unlocked)
  • Unlock the suitcase hidden in one of the freezers with 8498.
  • Read the letter inside.
  • Grab the keycard inside.
  • Unlock the door with 6353.

  • Unlock the safe with the keycard.
  • Read the bloody note inside.
  • Read the second bloody note inside one of the drawers. ("Archaeologist" unlocked)

  • Return to the freezer room.
  • Unlock the exit door with 1350, 2001, and 2319.
↳ Illusion
  • Exit the cell.
  • Turn left and unlock the double doors with 2203.
  • Choose either door.

  • Unlock the door with 1526.
  • Open the door with the red button.
  • Unlock the locker with 6552.
  • Take the keycard.
  • Unlock the door next to the black panel with 1379.
  • Turn on the console with the keycard slot on the left.
  • Use 3790 and flip the lever.

  • Go down the hall and unlock the door with 2432.

  • Grab the picture of the chest on the wall that matches the slot on the chest in the corner.
  • Unlock the left bedside table with the key.
  • Cut the rope on the right wardrobe with the knife.
  • Open the right bedside table for dominoes.
  • Unlock the left wardrobe with the 6-1, 1-2, 3-3, 6-6 dominoes.
  • On the clock, spin the cog to 5 o'clock, pull lever, spin to 9 o'clock, pull lever, spin to 11 o'clock, pull lever.

  • Place the black-eyed doll on the first shelf.
  • Place the blue-eyed doll on the second shelf.
  • Place the yellow-eyed doll on the third shelf.
  • Place the green-eyed doll on the fourth shelf.
  • Place the red-eyed doll on the fifth shelf.

  • Unlock the chest at the foot of the bed with the key.
  • Grab the pills.
↳ Sleepy Hollow
  • Go down the path to five levers.
  • Pull the levers on either end twice, and middle one once.
  • Spell KEY on the pumpkin.
  • Unlock the cellar with the key.

  • Unlock the door with 7562.
  • Open the locker with HOPE.
  • Open the door with the crowbar and go upstairs.

  • Open the chest on the floor behind the pews with 5169.
  • Grab the shovel and break the lock on the door.
  • Grab the head in the chest and through the door.

  • Go to the tomb near the levers and place the head inside.
↳ Estate Escape
  • Grab the metal bar under the bed.
  • Knock down the lockpick from the curtains above the scissors.
  • Unlock the door and go down the hall to the bookcase.
  • Interact with the A, L, I, C, E books.
  • Grab the gold bars on the small round table. ("Get the gold!" unlocked)
  • Continue down the hall to the locked door at the end.
  • Unlock it with NIEN and exit.
