Hello, This guide will help you fix the crashing that occurs on the loading screen of story mode.
1. On the main menu of the game go to Options then Video and then click on the More Settings option and then lower the Texture Resolution option from High to Medium.

2. Start up story mode and voilà!, the game will no longer crash when loading.

You may be asking "Why does lowering the Texture Resolution setting stop the game from crashing while loading Story Mode?". Well that's a good point you raise there but to be honest I have no idea why this setting on High causes the Story Mode to crash. It's weird though as the Arcade game mode and Fragile Alliance game mode have no problem with this setting on High but the Story Mode always crashes when it's set to High so yeah while it does suck it's not that big of a deal as the game still looks okay even on the Medium Texture Resolution setting.

In 2025 just restart the game and press continue and you can keep the textures on high because your PC is fast and it doesn't take longer than loading the game did in the past when it didn't crash.
