This guide is mainly for players who have unlocked the following:
  • Kegs
  • Seed makers
  • Calico Desert
  • The greenhouse
  • The tiller and artisan professions (wine value will be based on the artisan profession)
  • An alternative area to grow crops (garden pots or ginger island)
Getting Started
First, you will want to buy a shed from Robin and when it is built immediately upgrade it to a big shed. This will act as your keg storage.

Next, you will want to stock up on ancient fruit. Ancient fruit is a valuable crop that can be harvested every seven days after it's first harvest (Speed-Gro fertilizer will NOT speed this up). The seeds obtained by donating an ancient seed to Gunther. Ancient seeds can be obtained from the bugs in the early mine floors or more commonly from artifact troves. Once you have donated it to Gunther he will give you one Ancient Fruit seed and the recipe to craft more.

The ancient fruit should be planted in the greenhouse. This way nothing can damage the crop and you can infinitely harvest them. After the first harvest don't sell the crop, craft a seed maker and and use the crop to make more seeds.

Greenhouse Sprinkler Layouts
Filling out the greenhouse with ancient fruit is a great way to have infinite supply for wine. producing wine takes seven days just like the ancient fruit growth so both products will be ready at the same time. This is great if you just want to sleep for seven days for easy money. Sprinklers will save a lot of time, you should follow these layouts if you want the most space for crops while having full automation.

Quality sprinklers

Iridium sprinklers

Big Shed Layout
For the big shed's optimal layout you are going to need 137 kegs.

Aging Wine
If you have the final house upgrade you can age wine in the cellar. Wine can put into casks to increase their quality. Ageing all the way to iridium quality doubles the sale price. This is a long process (two seasons long for iridium quality). The Cellar already has 33 casks but you can craft more if you really want to make the most of it. It takes 125 casks to make the optimal layout.

Starfruit
Starfruit is the most profitable fruit that can be processed, you will definitely want to grow these in between ancient fruit harvests. These can be bought for 400g each from Sandy at Calico Desert. Unless it's summer you will need to make some space in the house for garden pots or plant them on the Ginger Island farm.

Wine Value
Base Value:

Ancient fruit wine: 2,310g, aged 4,620g

Starfruit wine: 3,150g, aged 6,300g

Total from shed:

Ancient fruit wine x 137: 316,470g

Starfruit wine x 137: 431,550g

Total from cellar:

Aged ancient fruit wine x 125: 577,500g

Aged starfruit wine x 125: 787,500
End
I hope that this guide was helpful and that you will enjoy the sweet smell of profit.

great guide but theres just one detail that's missing; do you have to age wine in the cellar for it to gain quality or is it the same in the sheds too?

if you have the automate mod you can fill every space in the shed and leave 1 or 2 for a chest(s). Put ancient fruit in the chest and it will fill the kegs and empty the wine back into the chest all on its own. All you have to do is farm the fruit.
