Step 1: Download Blender !
You can download it for free on steam right here !
Step 2: Download VTFEdit !
You can download VTFEdit for free right here [nemstools.github.io] !

Now install it :D

i recommend fownloading from the web archive
Step 3: Download the CS:GO workbench materials !
You can download the workbench materials from the official CS:GO website here !

Scroll down to the bottom of the site until you see "resources and downloads" !

Then download the workshop materials ZIP file !

Now unzip the file to somewhere you can find it !

Step 4: Open Blender !
Once you have installed Blender go ahead and launch it!

Step 5: Make your skin !
Now once Blender is launched you should follow what i do and import the OBJ file of the weapon your skin will be created on!

Now go to "Texture paint" mode and create a new image! Name it whatever you want so you dont get lost in all your files, instead of 1024 pixels make it 2048 by added "*2" after the 1024

Now select your weapon and go to texture paint mode!

After that go to shader mode and add your texture image you just made

Everything should look something like this :D

Now you can paint your gun however you want :DDD

Once you finished the skin go to the image texture window, click on "image" and save the image texture somewhere you can find it

Step 6: Convert the image texture to .vtf file !
To convert the image texture to .vtf (Valve Texture File) you have to open VTFEdit !

Import your textures image file !

Save your image !

Leave all settings as they are !

Now before you exit also export your image text so somewhere you can find it !

Final Step : Upload to the workshop !
Go to your steam library>right click on CS:GO>click on properties>type -console into launch options !

This will open the CS:GO console when you launch the game

Now open CS:GO !

In the console type: "workshop_workbench" and press enter !

After you have done that it should open the workbench that looks like this:

In the top left corner click the "None" and select "Custom paint job" from the drop-down menu !

Now click on "Choose pattern" and Select the texture image file !

Next up choose whichever weapon your skin was created for !

Now set all your settings how i did:

And after all this you can inspect your skin from different angles and even reload it!

The final thing left to do is to Submit your skin, first name it and then click save :D

Then you can Submit it !!! :D

After that, this window will pop up, you will have to give the skin a preview image that people will see on the workshop !

All the other files (.tga, .vtf you saved from VTFEdit, the .txt should be there but if not its the one you saved from the workbench) you have to add before you can publish the skin !
