General Overview - Item Specifics
Item
Description
Dash Boots
Can perform a powerful dash kick attack and is the fastest movement.
Stomp Boots
Deals 3x more damage while stomping and allows stomps on torches.
Jump Boots
Allows jumping off a wall in either direction.
Busty Suit
Receive half damage and produces twice the attack power. Jump is altered.
Orbs
Unlocks and locks the same colored doors.
Bunny Dolls
Restarts the current room or final boss phase.
General Overview - Movement
Method
Description
Walking
Use the arrow keys. Turning around requires getting the Gears or Jump Boots.
Running
Requires Dash Boots. Double tap a direction to run.
Backdashing
Moves Bunny in a straight or curved path when holding down and then jump.
Controls - Arrow keys
General

Holding left moves Bunny left.
Holding down moves Bunny down.
Holding up moves Bunny's attack up.
Once you get the Gears item, holding right moves Bunny right.

Tricks
  • Tapping the left or right direction once quickly will move Bunny, but will not push her off an edge.
  • You can slide across the floor if Bunny does not have the Gears.
    • Walk in the direction you CAN walk, let go of that direction, and quickly hold the opposite direction.
    • The timing is semi precise and takes practice.
    • Useless in every way but fun to do.
Controls - Attack
General

Reads past a text box and does damage to enemies using Bunny's current weapon.

Scenarios
  • Ground attacks
    • Can be spammed and shot straight, upwards or diagonally up/down, depending on the directions held.
    • The sword will always attack the same.
    • When landing from a jump and quickly pressing up and the attack button, Bunny can attack upwards with the sword. She will also say speak something.
  • Air attacks
    • When not somersaulting
      • Bunny can spam the attack.
      • Doing this will lock the direction you are moving.
      • Using the sword will automatically make Bunny somersault.
    • When somersaulting
      • Only one instance of the attack can be done.
      • When using Daggers, Boomerang or Missles, eight will shoot around Bunny
      • You can still control Bunny's arial direction.
Tricks
  • If Bunny is in the air and somersaulting, if you use the healing power, Bunny will be straight up. Using this power can allow more attacks in the air.
Controls - Jump
General

If Bunny is stationary before a jump
  • Jumps straight up.
  • The height of the jump depends on how long you hold the jump button.
If Bunny is moving before a jump
  • Does a somersault
  • The height will always be the same.

Tricks
  • Jumping straight up and holding the jump button will allow for the highest jump.
  • When pressing and releasing jump, Bunny can perform a short hop.
Controls - Time
General

Uses time power to perform various time power upgrades. The time power upgrades are as follows:

Adds to the max number of time power Bunny has.

Time Stop. Pressing time will stop everything in the game except Bunny, Chelsea, bunny warriors, gates and the timer. Time power will drain slowly.

Reverse Time. Holding time will reverse time in the current room. Must be in a room for at around 2 seconds or must wait around 2 seconds after grabbing an item or triggering a cutscene.

Recall. If Bunny dies and has a Bunny Doll, pressing the time button will restart the current room. If done at the final boss, the current phase restarts.

Permanent Time Stop. Pressing time will permanently stop everything in the game except Bunny, Chelsea, bunny warriors, gates and the timer until repressed or room transitioning. Takes more time power when activating.

Slow Down Time. While running and pressing time, the screen will turn green and the game (as well as the timer) will slow down. Pressing time again ends this.

Healing. When holding up and holding time, Bunny will heal.

Alternate Time. Unlocks the Chelsea gameplay option at the first completion with this many time power ups.
8, 9, 10
Adds more time power to your bar.


Tricks
  • Time healing cancels victory poses.
  • If Bunny is in the air somersaulting, time healing will make her stand staight up.

Takes an ingame screenshot. If Bunny is stationary on the ground, she will pose for you.

General

Pauses the game.

Tricks
  • When holding escape while unpausing, one frame will pass by and the game will repause. This is not repeatable in the same instance.
Controls - Alt
General

Not to be used in regular gameplay as it is a non-game specific control. This is standard in most windows applications. Pressing this will reveal a menu that you see when you click on the top-left icon of any window. As a result, this will also freeze the game temporarily, and the music will loop every 5 or so seconds.

Tricks
  • This is very useful for timing precise glitches.
Movement - Backdashing
General

Other than walking and running, Bunny can perform a backdash.
  • While stationary on the floor, hold down, then hold jump to backdash.
  • The longer you hold jump, the further the backdash will go.
  • While backdashing, pressing jump again will make Bunny do a jumping backdash.

Tricks
  • The sooner you press jump after starting the backdash, the faster the jumping backdash will be.
  • The later you press jump after starting the backdash, the slower the jumping backdash will be.
Item Specifics - Dash Boots
General

Hold or press a direction, let go and once again hold that direction to perform a dash kick. While holding that position, you will continue to dash until you hit something that will stop you.
  • An enemy
  • A wall
  • If you let go of the direction you are dashing in.
  • If you hold the opposite direction and let go of the dash direction, you will immediately stop.
While dashing, if you press attack, you will perform a dash kick.
  • This kick can be angled using the up and down keys.
  • This can be done before the frame of the start of the kick or during the kick.
  • In the air, holding the opposite direction of the kick when the kick finishes will move you backwards instead of forward.
  • When dash kicking on the floor, if you press down, your kick will almost immediately stop in place.
Uses
  • Dash kicking does extreme damage to bosses. Be careful to not run into them afterwards!
  • Fastest movement speed
Tricks
  • Holding attack while performing the dash kick will extend your kick a few pixels longer.
  • Can be used to get the first doll in the second room of the game.
  • Can quick kill Alice and some of Chelseas phases.
Item Specifics - Stomp Boots
General

This adds damage to your stomps. Once obtained, they are automatically turned on.

Uses
  • Deals 3x stomp damage.
  • Allows to stomp off (and break) torches.
  • When holding the jump button while stomping, Bunny will stomp off higher.

Tricks
  • In the Rockin' Android version, they cannot be turned off.
  • In the Japanese 06 09 16 version, holding up and pause can eventually shut them off.
Item Specifics - Jump Boots
General

To use this, you must be in the air and moving towards a wall while touching and facing it.

Scenarios
  • Press the jump button once without holding any arrow keys
    • Bunny moves in the opposte direction.
  • Alternating between the jump button and the direction towards the wall
    • Bunny will jump up and towards the wall.
  • Holding the opposite direction of the wall and jumping
    • Bunny will perform a quick backwards somersault
Uses
  • To get up a wall
  • To jump off a wall
  • To turn around
Tricks
  • Bunny can face and walk in the opposite direction if the gears were not obtained.
Item Specifics - Busty Suit
General

Bunny will change her colors and appearance when you hold down and press the time button. To undo this transformation, hold down and press the time button like before.

Effects
  • Bunny takes half damage and her attacks are a little more powerful.
  • Daggers, Boomerang, Missles, Spike Hammers quantities are doubled.
  • Sword becomes twice as strong.
  • Bunny's jump is slightly changed.
    • Her first jump will be a low jump. When touching the ground and jumping again right away, the height will be normal for consecutive jumps.
Uses
  • Playing it slow and heavier but safer.
  • For speedrunning, it is useful for Chelsea Phases 1 through 4.
Tricks
  • During the transformation, using the healing time power will cancel the animation.
  • Holding down before jumping will make Bunny jump at normal height.
Item Specifics - Orbs
General

When at a Red, Purple, Yellow or Green door, there should be a small orb holder nearby that will take the door's colored orb. Hold down on the holder to place the orb. Hold down again to pick it back up. This opens the door of that color.

Uses
  • To open a colored door.
Tricks
  • When time stopping at the same frame of picking up an orb from a holder, it is possible to have the door be opened and have the orb in possession at the same time.
    • This only works on specific doors.
    • Restarting the room or unstopping time will close the door.
Item Specifics - Bunny Dolls
General

Have three time power upgrades and when Bunny dies, text saying "RECALL" will appear. If you press the time button at that instance, the room will restart from where you entered. If done at the final boss, the current phase will restart as well.

Uses
  • At the final boss if you don't want to repeat previous phases.
  • If you're too lazy to start back from your last save.

Tricks
  • In the Rockin' Android version, using a Bunny Doll restores all life points.
  • In the Japanese 06 09 16 version, using a Bunny Doll will restore up to the life points you had when you entered the room.
  • Wrong warping is a topic in itself.
Other mechanics - Parrying
General

Parrying is one of the most confusing concepts to understand technically.

Parrying is a mechanic that is the same as blocking. If you parry a damage source, you will not take damage and when done in the air, provides an extra boost similar to a somersault jump. In order to perform a parry (or block), right as Bunny is about to take damage, press any direction. This will force Bunny to parry and ignore the damage. However, this will only work if Bunny is not under Parry cooldown.

Parry Cooldown

Assume Bunny is standing still. If you tap a direction, one of two things will happen: you will either parry a damage source or activate parry cooldown. In parry cooldown, you will have to wait 40 frames before you can attempt to parry again. Within this 40 frame window, you can move and such, meaning that this cooldown does not reset or overlap until this 40 frame window is gone. Once it's gone, and say you tap a direction into a damage source, you will be able to parry it. However, if you tapped that direction and didn't parry, a new 40 frame window of parry cooldown will activate. Please note that this is invisible to the player, so to be on the safe side, if you want to parry, wait around 2/3 to 1 second, then attempt to parry.

Simultaneous Parrying

If you parry a damage source, you are invincible for the next 13 frames. Before you can parry again, you must not press or hold any direction for 5 frames, then within 8 frames you must press any direction to parry again. If successful, you will be able to parry the second and upcoming times using this method.

Most players encounter this randomly during gameplay, and that is normal. Learning to master it is the hard (yet most rewarding) part.

Uses
  • Block a damage source
  • Destroy a spike
  • Spike sections of a room
  • Low% requires this

Tricks
  • Skip most of the Jade Tower rooms while parrying spikes and lasers.
  • Get the time power up in Septentrion without dash boots or jump boots.
