Now getting the apple with the help of friends isn't too hard, in fact, working together is the intended way to obtain this achievement.

There are many ways to go about working together to obtain the apple. The first that many may try is by attempting to stack props and form a staircase up. You can form a basic one using a small box, a large box, and the head of a friend. By lining both boxes up in the corner, and then receiving a boost from a friend, suddenly, you're already halfway to that delicious treat! But this is where the trouble comes in. How to get any higher? With only one Big box, and 2 smaller boxes, you cannot repeat the staircase from before. And outside of presents and table, there aren't really any other props to climb. And while they're tall, they're paper thin, and not scaleable by any means... or are they?

It's time to unveil secret weapon No. 1, Prop Jank. You see, for whatever reason, the props within the game have strange interactions and collisions. If you push one up against a wall hard enough so that it cannot fling itself away, the game will just decide to warp your Pico Dragon on top of them. In fact, you very well might have experienced this while playing around in the Room, or even while setting up the props for previous apple heist attempts.

And, this trick can also work between props. If you squish a prop between another prop and a wall, the game will attempt to resolve the issue by flinging them up! The exact nature varies on prop to prop, but almost every single one is extremely volatile. So make sure you have a friend keeping them properly orientated, or you might find a prop suddenly vanish from the party room! Or, maybe take advantage of this nature to create a Rocket, and be the first Pico in space! Or, if you'd rather, just launch them up high enough to where they land on the shelf.

Say you're wanting something a bit more... consistent in terms of scaling the walls to reach those delectable fruits. This is where Secret Weapon No. 2 comes in... the legendary Pico Totem.

That's right. It's not just props you can scale, but even your fellow Pico Dragons! The process is the same, but much harder, as the Pico Dragon's rounded hitbox means you can slide off them if you're not careful. Coordination is key. If you can organise all four Picos up onto the large box (using the previous staircase method and a propclimb, or orientating a present/bench to form a ramp), then you can form a totem that rivals the heavens, and claim your prize! Orrrrr if you're short a Pico, using a box as a substitute always seems to do the trick

Getting it Solo?
But what if you're playing alone? Now, you could go about grabbing a second controller, or even attempt to wrangle the AI into place while hoping they don't fall off, knock over your precarious tower of boxes, or decide to smooch you during an inopportune moment, which is much harder than it sounds.

You might be surprised to hear this but... it is indeed possible to access the apple, without ever needing the help of another Pico! You simply must turn to our old friend, the power of Janky Collision and Physics. However, this time you must wrangle them alone. You will not have a friend to help lock props in place while you scale the props. And it will fight you with all that it can. but once you do...

Success!

But even with this, using the tallest prop available, the Apple still lies beyond our reach, just barely out of grasp, which is even more insulting to the poor Pico Dragons who do not have hands. And without a friend to stand on, there's no way to get that extra inch of height.

So, what do we do? Well, Stack more Props on top of course! But how? Well, as it turns out, the strange collision applies not only to player/prop interactions, but also between the props themselves! By pushing the two objects up against the wall, you can cause the same glitch to occur. But, keep in mind, props are a lot lighter, and since there are two, the effects of the collision are multiplied. If you push them together too hard, instead of stacking, one will be sent flying into the stratosphere, and you will have to retry again.

Getting the technique down can take up to half an hour if you're unlucky, but once you figure it out, you'll be golden!

The final question is what props to use? Well, as previously stated, the more props you use, the more volatile the stack will become, and the higher the likelyhood the props and you will go flying! So you want to use the least amount of props. In this case, You want the two tallest props you can obtain, the Large Box, and Large Present. As it so happens, the presents are a 2D Prop, meaning they're easier to use the stacking glitch on, however, they're very prone to falling over, and will require being flipped back upright if they do. But, once you get the present in positon, and press against the box, you'll be able to glitch your way up onto the box, and then onto the present, arriving at the perfect height to reach the shelf.

This sounds complicated, so here you can see my successful attempt. Note that which wall you press the props up against does not matter, as long as it is in the far right corner. Additionally, climbing up using the opposite wall can help avoid the previously mentioned prop explosion

Enjoy your newfound tasty Apple!
