Introduction
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 is a very interesting yet poorly documented game. It contains some pretty in depth mechanics that beg to be explored and at least explained, this guide is aimed at helping players new and old to understand the Workshop and Equipment modifying mechanics in order to help answer any questions you may have.

Please use the GameFaqs link below to access the guide.

This section is just for things I've tested personally and want to share.

1. Combat Reflexes Feat:

In the guide, he states that Combat reflexes increases your accuracy. I tested this and it isn't true, it actually increases your melee and ranged attack speed. Skill points and Skill point bonuses from items for this Feat do stack up until +10, some characters can learn up to 5 points in this feat in their skill tree and then stack an additional 5 points from items.

I want to state that this guide does not belong to me and links straight to a 2004 GameFaqs guide, I simply wanted to make it available here on Steam Guides in order to be able to share this information and make it more convenient due to the re-release of the game. Total rights of this guide completely belong to Benjamin Gilette.

To the original creator, I want to thank you for creating such a robust guide on this game all the way back in 2004 when the game was originally released, it has helped me and plenty of other people understand some critical mechanics of a very poorly documented game. I've attempted to contact the author of the guide however his Yahoo email address is no longer active.

Hm..gem combinations are missing; & some useless for certain characters. ie Sapphires for Vhaidra; she has no access to Power Attack or Cleave yielded from using or combining Sapphires with other gems.

Adding to something the original guide doesn't seem to elaborate on: You can enhance your gloves with Pearl and Moonstone to give yourself the max of Rank 10 in Improved Critical and Combat Reflexes and apply that to any weapon you're holding, as it does not state either as "(unarmed)". It's very noticeable with a bow's fire rate or the amount of additional criticals with melee. Very handy once your hero has access to Death Blow (and possibly the best glove enhancement unless you're playing Vhaidra).

To elaborate on what Proximo said for anyone who wants to do the gold exploit:
Sell prices are at their max with 35% Buy/Sell (24 Charisma). More charisma will actually start to reduce your sell prices (to be 1 gold below buy price). However, buy prices will continue to be reduced at 40% or more Buy/Sell.
So by using equipment with charisma bonus' that bring you to 40% or higher, you can buy anything from the shop. Exit the shop. Un-equip down to 35%, then sell those same items for more than you bought them for.
Example: Amethyst is sold for 2430 at 35% buy/sell, but it is bought for 2399 at 40% buy/sell (or less if higher than 40%)

Final tip from me, always hold on 2 a fine leather boots, because it's basicly the cheapest ring you can get for charisma, and also you it keeps your combat boots clean of the useless combat stat charisma.

Thanks author, this was a good guide, saves many time.:47_thumb_up:

And also, if you can increase your crit damage/crit chance like you can on the beserker guy.
It's best to equip an amethyst with topaz/jade/aquamarine/jacinth, because i believe the crit talents also apply to frost/fire/poison/thunder crits :)

It's worth mentioning that at 50% buy/sell charisma(30ish) the shopkeeper tries to fool you by doing +1gold on buy above u can sell it for.

BUT IF U TAKE OF 10CHARISMA POINTS BY UNEQUIPING 2 RINGS, AND BADUM TISH BUY/SELL TILL U GOT BILLIONS AND BILLIONS:louie:

@Biff Von Bowflex Nice find, yeah I wonder if it contains a unique effect since you're essentially stacking two damage over time effects... regardless, we all know that looking cool is the true end game anyways! :ccknight:

@Yamaraja666 Indeed, but I suppose it gives some value to the Charisma Stat and to the Forge Lore Feat. Which both will help lessen the costs of buying and using the workshop, that coupled with the increased gold and Item find of Extreme mode, it makes for an interesting challenge

Great guide, as an additional little thing, he mentions some of the unique effect gem combos, one that I don't think he had listed was Jacinth (Fire) + Ruby (Bleed) which makes the flame effect on a weapon more red and focused looking, though I don't know if it actually comes with any extra effects like an elemental burst, but it sure looks cool. :gymBOSS:
