How to check prices of cs 2 skins the right way

Hello this is SpRaY and today i wanted to make a guide on how to check prices correctly.

I get a lot of people which are new to csgo and trading in general that are looking to trade and are not sure on how to price their items so i decided to make a guide to make it easier for them to understand :)

So let`s start with getting this extension :

CSGO Trader Extension [chrome.google.com]

After you install hover with your mouse to the icon of the extension, go to Options -> Pricing -> Provider and change it to "BUFF163 - Buff Starting at", you should be set to go in terms of prices after you install the extension and use buff prices with it mostly but in some items the price can be a bit off so its important to check if the price in the extension matches the one in the buff site (mostly Stattrak items and items which are not selling that frequently), you can do so by going to your or the one you want to trade with inventory, you have a button named "Lookup Item On Buff", click it and see if the prices in the extension matches the ones in the lowest current listings of the items, its important to also check the "Trade Records" tab which allows you to check the most recent sells of the item.

Some Important notes for new Traders:

If you`re a starting trader i would advise to try and stay away from rare pattern/float items or weapon skins with expensive stickers, most of the time the prices of these items are not stable and its better to just trade for "normal items" also stick to buff prices using the extension, if someone ask you for a price always refer them to buff, do not log into any unknown site and dont trade your csgo items for Dota,TF2,Rust items etc, before you accept an offer in your phone always check in the confirmation tab that you`re getting the items you wanted in return (if for some reason it shows as an empty offer in which you "gift" your items your account is hacked, go to my profile and check my other guide i made on how to remove the Steam API scam) Hope i helped, if you have more questions or need help with something that is not mentioned in this guide feel free to comment below and when im able to ill respond :)
