Step 1: Save your game
Step 2: Drop the items you want to duplicate
Step 3: Open the Menu and select "Change Players..."
Step 4: Press Y button or type Z
Step 5: Select the game that you saved
Step 6: Press A or type Enter
Step 7: Press A or type Enter
Step 8: Press A or type Enter
Step 9: Profit!

So, you can just import a player from another game and take all their stuff and gems and sell it all for a cash boost or use for the char you are wanting to upgrade. Then delete the imported char. Not so hard. You can do it anywhere. With any character. And you can do it infinitely. Hopefully this helps.

i don't know on what peeps said but the duplication exploits still works for me?!

maybe in the city of baldur's gate is fixed but maybe not anywhere else

This exploit still works. Just not in Baldur's Gate. Areas like, Skull Rock and Lyron's Hold etc etc... the duplicate exploit still works in game.

Yeah, you just can't do this in baldur's gate because the map resets all items whenever a load screen occurs. This happens regardless of whether you are duplicating items or not, just don't ever leave items on the ground there. You can do this in any other level though.

Damn shame they got rid of this expolit for single player, but does anyone know if they got it sorted for two player? Maybe get the 2nd player to pick up dropped items THEN import 1st Player?

Ok nevermind, it doesnt work in Baldur's Gate for me, but it works fine in other levels. Weird.

Yeah I've tried following this guide and it doesn't seem to work anymore. Pity, I wanted a nice supply of runestones.

Especially useful when you can create +15 rings, amulets, and boots for newly-made characters. +60 to Intelligence and Wisdom for Ysuran at level 1 as an example.
