[OUTDATED] Launcher Autoplay
By Flaim
So you are tired of always having to click the "Launch" button on your PS2 launcher?
I have the fix for that!

What to do
  1. Go into your Planetside 2 installation folder.
  2. Create a new text file.
  3. enter the following code and save it:
    [Settings] appName=Planetside 2 id=ps2 height=678 width=915 autoplay=1
  4. rename the text file to
    LaunchPad-internal.ini

DONE!

Now whenever you launch Planetside it automatically does all the updating (if required) and launches the client afterwards without you having to ever click a second time.

Invisible Launcher
If you want to hide the launcher completely you can take the following code instead:

[Settings] appName=Planetside 2 id=ps2 height=0 width=0 autoplay=1

The difference in that code are these two lines:
height=0 width=0

They tell the launcher to start, but with the size of 0x0 pixels instead of the usual size, which makes it not interactable and you can't see it.

The only drawback of this method is that you will not be able to see whether the game is being patched and how far the patching process has progressed.

the autoplay checkbox does not save and it's only visible if there's a patch.
this is the reason why you need to apply this tweak if you want to have it permanently.

Or you could just check the autoplay box...

Thanks for writing this as I know some people are looking for this kind of stuff.

if you don't find it useful don't use it, but there are people out there who are looking for that exact tweak.

How many times do you need to play PS2 until the time saved pays off the time taken to do this?

added additional tweak-section to hide the launcher completely.

exactly, but the benefits go beyond that.

1. when there's a patch you can go get a coffee or something and don't have then to launch & wait for the loading time when you're back. (i think that sounds a little bit more complicated than what i'm trying to say )

2. you can put it in a batch file which is reliant on the "quick" launch of the game.
i'll do another guide on that, for people who have problems with the steamoverlay when running programs hooking into directX (like fraps). it's the groundwork for that upcoming guide.
