6 of the many ways to stun/loop/exploit (there's no agreed upon name) sentry busters.

A destroy bind is highly recommended. See the bottom of description for all binds used.

Shown in order:
1. Jumping off a cliff (0:06)
Jump off a cliff and destroy your sentry far enough from the edge and the ground.
Takes fall damage depending on the cliff.
Requires no extra equipment.

2. Manually Jumping (0:26)
Stand on top of your sentry, jump then immediately pick up the sentry as you're rising in the air but still close to it, destroy the sentry near the apex of your jump.
Takes a bit of skill to time it all.
Requires no extra equipment.
May be difficult under stress or uneven terrain.
While possible to perform while jumping on top of a dispenser, sentries are the tallest building, which makes it much easier than jumping on top of a dispenser.

3. Auto Wait Bind (0:45)
Stand on top of your sentry, look down at the sentry and press a bind to automatically perform the exploit.
Does not work in servers were the wait command is disabled.
Bind information is written at the bottom of this description.
May not work on uneven terrain.
Can be made more reliable with 1 jump height.

4. Wrangler Jumping (1:07)
The coolest method.
Sentry jump, rescue your sentry while in mid air, destroy your sentry while in the air.
Requires wrangler, rescue ranger, a level 3 sentry, enough metal to rescue the sentry, and enough health to survive the initial jump.
Also works with wrangler bullet jumping (the coolerest method).

5. 3 Jump Height (1:34)
Jump and destroy the sentry near the apex of the jump.
May not work in uneven terrain.
Level 2 jump height is too low and does not work on flat ground.

6. Rescue + 3 Jump Height (1:55)
The same thing as before but now you're a bit higher.
Stand on top of your sentry, jump then rescue your sentry when the rescue ranger allows you to pick it up, destroy your sentry near the apex of the jump.
Requires rescue ranger, 3 jump height, and enough metal to rescue the sentry.
Very little fall damage is taken but only after performing the exploit.
You are unable to rescue the sentry until you reach near the top of the jump, therefore you cannot pick it up when too low.
Destroys the sentry higher than regular level 3 jump height to avoid uneven terrain issues.
However, it still requires you to time the rescue pickup near the top of the jump (don't press your destroy bind too fast).

The mechanics behind this exploit relies in the way the sentry buster's pathing triggers the detonation event. A sentry buster will detonate when any 1 of these 3 general criteria are met:
A. The sentry buster reaches within 1/3 the distance in HU defined by cvar `tf_bot_suicide_bomb_range` (Default = 300) of the target sentry's last known position.
B. The sentry buster fails to construct a path to the target sentry's last known position 3 or more times in a row.
C. The sentry buster has exactly 1 hp.

For this exploit to work, we try to avoid all criteria.
To get around criterion A, we move our sentry outside of the default trigger distance of 100HU by any means (shown in video). The target sentry's last known position is held in place whenever it is destroyed, therefore we destroy the sentry while being outside of the 100HU distance.

We cannot completely avoid criterion B due to the random path computations the game performs. However, since the criterion is 3 or more failures *in a row*, we are able to perform some RNG manipulation to influence the sentry buster's chances of failure. For example, we can limit the frequency at which a new path is calculated by performing the exploit on a short cliff or ramp. This way, the sentry buster will occasionally fall off and take a longer path before recalculating a new path.

Criterion C has no active roles in performing the exploit; however, it may be wise to consider it when deciding when it is strategically useful in game. The main benefit for performing this exploit is to allow a player medic to farm ubersaw hits at a whim. A sentry buster's default health is 2500. As hits are performed, the sentry buster's health decreases. Furthermore, the sentry buster may also be attacked by teammates as it travels to its destination. Due to these complications, a buster may end up with much less health than desired, leading to a lower overall benefit.

This demonstration uses a popfile where a sentry buster is deployed when a player has zero or more sentry kills. This does not happen in regular missions.

The binds used in this demonstration are:
F1 Loadout Bind

Note that this bind does not work in servers where the wait command is disabled.
All Valve servers have wait commands enabled.
The success of this bind may also depend on your game's performance.
