Hero's Descent 100% Achievements guide

Greed Beyond Measure achievement is either bugged or does not work on easy mode so unless there's a fix its gonna be the hardest achievement to get since its the only one that would possibly require you to play on normal difficulty

This game has bit of RNG and requires some skill but when you have mastered enemy/boss behavior its doable

Estimated time to 100% +/- 5 hours (possibly significantly more if doing Greed Beyond Measure on normal)
Achievements unlock first in-game and on close they unlock in steam

Note:
This guide was written in perspective of the reader using easy mode since normal mode is significantly more difficulty

Enemies
  • Vaan Ratsbane - You killed at least 100 rats. Are you satisfied now, you monster?
    This will unlock naturally since its a common enemy

  • Revenge! - You killed at least 20 bats. Honestly, they've probably killed you far more times than that by now.
    Only appears in the last world but will unlock naturally

  • Surprise! - It wouldn't be an RPG without one of these.
    These are mimic chests and can be any chest at any time and killing one unlocks the achievement

  • Treasure Hunter - You killed at least 30 mimics. You're starting to look forward to the Storm of Greed now, aren't you?
    This unlocks naturally especially when you have unlocked level mutators by finishing the game once and get Storm of Greed levels

  • That's one way to do it... - Defeat the 3 Necromancers before the Dark Knight
    During the second boss fight there is three necromancers at the end of the level casting spells and each of them has 99HP you need to kill all three before the actual boss to unlock this achievement
Abilities/Traits
  • Bold Move - You got lucky this time, maybe don't try that again...
    Play as Hero and use riposte ability when golem is about to attack you

  • Burninator! - You burned at least 3 enemies with the same cast of Firestorm. Maybe cool down a bit?
    Play as Wizard (unlocks after beating the game with Hero) and use Firestorm to damage 3 enemies at once but if you have trouble with this there is always a trait to increase the range of firestorm to make this easy
  • Terror Awaits You in the Fjord - You knew the risks, but you took up the axes anyways.
    Play as Berserker (unlocked after beating the game with Wizard) and pick up Axes of Evil trait when its being offered after a level completion (this is RNG based)
Bosses/Endings
  • Slimicide - Defeat the Slime King
    First boss use riposte if you are in a pinch

  • The Dark Knight Falls - Defeat the Dark Knight
    Second boss which is a bit trickier since there is 3 necromancers casting row of spells and you have to dance around the boss avoiding those constantly

  • Unholy Trinity - Defeat the Dark Wizard
    Third and final boss which is a lot trickier since its 3 phased boss but riposte can really clutch here

  • Delver - Reach the deepest floor of the castle and reveal the truth!
    Finish the game for the first time with any result



These three are for completing the game in 3, 5 & 8 minutes but are currently bugged and should unlock on your first victory

  • Aspiring Hero - Complete the game as the Hero!
    Hero has healing and riposte skills and is failry balanced character with high hp and decent damage

  • Queenslayer - Defeat the Fairy Queen. Something is odd about the castle now, though...
    This is a boss that unlocks after your first victory and can randomly replace the first boss fight

  • Master Wizard - Complete the game as the Wizard
    Wizard has a shield spell, AoE fire spell and freezing spell that deals damage and interrupts enemy attacks

  • Insatiable Bloodlust - Complete the game as the Berserker!
    Berserker has no abilities but will start with high damage and descent hp


  • Spotted on the Hill - On the fourteenth morning's chill, from the rampart he is spotted on the hill.
    For this achievement you need to finish the game as Berserker while having the Axes of Evil trait which can be easy to do and easy to fail since you will die in 20 turns if you have not killed anything but every kill heals you so its a high risk high reward trait
Misc.
  • Where...? - Discover something beyond understanding
    Purple portal starts randomly spawning in the second world after you have cleared the game with all 3 characters and the achievement pops when you first discover this portal:
  • Beyond Time - You made it out alive...this time
    This achievement is for beating the grim reaper stage when you enter the portal and you only need to reach the ending since the grim reaper is unkillable

  • Greed Beyond Measure - You...you managed to score over 500 points in a single run?
    With luck and skill you have already done this by the end but if not score is accumulated by monsters killed, chests, and the time bonus so get traits that will increase chest and par timer to get it easily
