Location: Benny
Method of Obtaining: Killing or pick-pocketing it off of Benny, simple as that
Extra: Maria can be used to complete the (★) GRA Challenge "The Same Could be Said of all Religious Weapons" as well as the (★★) Challenge "Talk about Owned"

Lucky

"The barrel, frame, and cylinder are made of a smooth black metal decorated with ornate gold etchings, with a polished ivory handle, and the entire gun is inlaid with gambling motifs. The word "Lucky" is engraved on the silver plate on the ejector tube."

Location: Bison Steve Hotel, Primm; Located in the Hard-Locked floor safe
Method: Simply need a lockpick skill of 75, whether through leveling-up, skill magazines or mentats

Extra: Like all unique weapons, it cannot be modded, however unlike most it comes with the .357 revolver long barrel already on it. Interesting enough, it also has the lowest AP cost of revolvers at 17, and can be a holdout weapon with a sneak skill of 50.

Mysterious Magum

"This revolver features a silver finish with intricate engravings etched all around the weapon, a pearlescent grip, higher damage, and a significantly faster firing rate than a normal .44 Magnum."

Location: East of the El Dorado Dry lake, held by the Lonesome Drifter
Method: Can be killed for it, reverse-pickpocked, or gained by a 50 Barter-check during the "Talent Pool" Sidequest. Interesting enough, if pickpockted before completing "Talent Pool" a second one can be obtained by passing the aforementioned Barter-check during the quest.

Extra: As you probably know, the Magum will play a jingle while equipping and unequipping, and it will play quietly while crouched. Interesting enough, the Magum also is much less durable than the normal .44 Magum, requiring much more maintenance

A Light Shining In Darkness (DLC)

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Location: Joshua Graham or footlocker at the Southern Passage of Zion Canyon
Method: Complete "Honest Hearts" DLC, or kill Joshua Graham (though this will result in the entire questline of Honest Hearts falling into ruining, with you being granted the quest "Chaos in Zion")

Extra: This is the lightest handgun in the game, as well as the smallest. It lacks the glow-sights of the normal .45 Auto Pistol, yet it's frame will glow, especially in complete darkness.

That Gun

"That Gun is a heavily modified, pared down .223 pistol, successor to the same weapon from Fallout and Fallout 2. The weapon weighs 5 pounds and has a motorized cylinder and crane for quicker shooting and reloading than a typical revolver."

Location: Dino-Bite Giftshop in Novac, sold by Cliff Briscoe
Method: Can be purchased (It's actually the cheapest unique in the game), stolen or obtained through the "Come Fly with Me" quest, located in the "Very Easy" locked door within the gift shop, the key to which can be purchased during said quest.

Extra: This weapon can be used for both the (★) "Benefit of a Hazard" and (★★) "Vault 13's Revenge" challenges. A glitch can occur where if That Gun is stolen from the supply closet, Cliff will still sell it, allowing you to obtain two.

Lil' Devil (DLC)

Location: Mick of Mick & Ralph's, sold by the Gun Runner's Vendertron if Mick is dead.
Method: Caps. Cash. Moolah. Barter.

Extra: Despite only being a handgun, it requires a gun skill of 75 and a strength of 8 to properly wield. Despite these high requirements, it is a level 1 holdout weapon.

RIFLES

This Machine

"This Machine Kills Fascists.. Well this machine kills commies"

Location: Camp McCarran, Supply Shack. Reward for unmarked quest "Dealing with Contreras"
Method: No matter the outcome of the quest, you will be rewarded with This Machine, along with either caps or NCR fame depending on how you deal with said quest.

Extra: The name and etching into the rifle is a reference to socialist folk-singer Woodie Guthrie, who placed a sticker on his guitar reading "This Machine kills Fascists." Along with that, this unique was implemented before it's normal version, the Battle Rifle, was added in the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC.

Abilene Kid LE BB Gun

"Abilene Kid ~Limited Edition~ 1 of 200."

Location: Field's Shack, or with Wild Wasteland, Jimmy's Well

Method: Simply pick it up inside the shack, or with Wild Wasteland, Rex will be needed as a companion. He'll exclaim "aroo" before marking the well on your map.

Extra: Similar to a few other weapons, 2 of the BB Gun can be obtained. If one is grabbed in the shack, then Wild Wasteland is taken from the Autodoc in the Sink at BIG MT, the second one in the well can be obtained. The gun itself is a reference to the Red Ryder BB from the first two games, as well as another reference to the TV show "Lassie" a common trope across the Fallout games.

Survivalist's Rifle (DLC)

Location: The Red Gate, Zion Canyon.

Method: Simply climb the small mountain and obtain the mountain. Keep in mind White Legs in the area can snatch it for themselves, so if it's missing you may have to go looking.
Extra: The Survivalist's Rifle uses the rare 12.7mm ammo, which can only be bought from vendors. If someone retrieves the rifle before you complete the DLC yet you go ahead and complete it, the rifle will vanish as all NPCs despawn upon completion.

Medicine Stick (DLC)

"Medicine sticks, also called "spirit sticks," are used by some Native American tribes for rituals relating to the spirit world, and are often decorated with beads and feathers from spirit animals (such as the eagle or the bear)"

Location: The Gun Runner's Vendertron
Method: Barter, damn it!

Extra: Weapons chambered in .45-70 were often surplussed to Native American reservations as subsistence hunting rifles during the 19th and early 20th century. Native Americans would frequently decorate guns they acquired with feathers, beads and nails, similar to the Medicine Stick. It is also the second-highest damage ballistic rifle in the game.

It is also the second-highest damage ballistic rifle in the game.

Bozar (DLC)

"The Bozar is a powerful, unique weapon with an ammunition capacity of 30 rounds. Although it appears to be a sniper rifle from its mounted scope, it is a fully automatic weapon."

Location: Gun Runner's Vendertron
Method: Caps, cash and other means of capital

Extra: It can be used for the (★★) challenge "Vault 13's Revenge." The Bozar has a lower damage per shot than the light machine gun. Despite this, it has a higher rate of fire which gives it a high DPS, is chambered in the common 5.56mm cartridge, has a low AP cost, a remarkably fast reload speed and has a lower Spread stat, making it a useful weapon for long and medium distances.

La Longue Carabine

"I call her La Longue Carabine. Didn't always have the scope - I added that myself. Been shooting with her so long... couldn't bring myself to toss her away. Would have felt guilty to part with the old girl. The other snipers use bolt-action, but Gorobets reckoned it didn't matter none if I was different, so long as I can hit my targets."

Location: Held by Corporal Stering at Camp McCarran or Camp Forlorn Hope after the quest "Three-Card Bounty"
Method: Killing him or reverse-pickpocketing

Extra: Like most unique weapons, weapon modifications cannot be used on La Longue Carabine. By default, it comes with the aforementioned scope modification and the extended feeder magazine already attached. Although in appearance the magazine tube on La Longue Carabine is smaller than that on a cowboy repeater with an extended magazine, they both have the same capacity.

All-American

"82nd All-American Airborne"

Location: Vault 34's Armory
Method: Simply trudge through the Vault, located right outside of Vegas.

Extra: It is highly accurate, reliable, and powerful with its fast rate of fire and low Action Point cost. The scope has the same crosshairs and 3.5x magnification as the sniper rifle and its Gobi Campaign scout rifle variant. The name is based off of the 82nd Airborne Division's nickname of "All-American"

Ratslayer

"Ratslayer has a black synthetic stock instead of the standard wood, parts that appear to be made from stainless steel, and has 69 tally marks on the stock next to an image of a mole rat's skull"

Location: Broc Flower Cave
Method: Be cautious, while Giant Rats are the only creatures that lurk within, they are very numerous and hit hard.

Extra: With the Wild Wasteland trait, the area around the Ratslayer will have several giant rats called "rodents of unusual size." It also has the third-highest critical hit multiplier in the game, making it very, very powerful.

Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle

"The Gobi Campaign scout rifle is a unique sniper rifle that was used by the United States Armed Forces in the Gobi Desert military campaign in China before the Great War."

Location: Snipers Nest, located just above Cottonwood Cove, overlooking the Legion Camp.
Method: You'll need a lockpick skill of 100, as it's located inside the Very Hard locked footlocker.

Extra: Compared to a normal sniper rifle, the Gobi Campaign scout rifle does slightly more damage, has a higher DPS, has a lower weapons spread, fires more rapidly, degrades slower and has greatly increased critical hit damage. The lowered AP cost means hitting shots in VATs is an extremely great strategy while using the Scout Rifle.

STATS LOCATED BELOW!

Christine's CoS silencer rifle

"Christine Royce of the Brotherhood of Steel's Circle left her rifle near Little Yangtze as she hunted for the estranged Elijah, similar to her recon armor at the Y-17 medical facility. Before she could capture or kill Elijah, he sent the ghoul prisoners of Little Yangtze after her, detonating their collars as they got close as a distraction."

Location: Crumbled Building right outside of Little Yangtze

Method: Simply pick it up, just keep in mind 3 lobotomites will spawn once the rifle is picked-up

Extra: It is almost physically identical to a sniper rifle, but with a suppressor already attached. The rifle is also a darker color from the standard variant, and its scope has a slight purple hue. It has the highest damage per shot of the .308 weapons in the game. In addition, it has a high DPS, a weight of 5.5 pounds, and due to its low weapon health of 85, it degrades somewhat quickly. The scope of this weapon has a 3.5x magnification.

Paciencia (DLC)

"The pieces of metal and duct tape holding the barrel and chassis are absent, the barrel is not visibly rusted, the stock is not damaged, and the wood furniture is in better condition. A Mexican flag is also wrapped around the stock for use as a makeshift cheek rest. There also appears to be tally etched just under the receiver."

Location: Dino-Bite gift shop, Gun Runners if Cliff is dead
Method: Money

Extra: Paciencia is a unique hunting rifle. It has a three-round magazine, higher damage than the regular variant, and higher item HP. Its main advantage over the standard variant is its extremely high critical damage, which is 110 points, equal to the anti-materiel rifle. Due to its bonus critical chance, critical hits are more common. It also has a 3.5x magnification when looking down the rifle's iron sights, equivalent to a top-tier scope

SMGS
Vance's 9mm SMG

"The 9mm submachinegun preserved in this glass case to the left of this plaque is the ACTUAL weapon Vance carried in a paper-wrapped box under some suitcases in the trunk of his car during his and Vikki's crime spree! Never fired, and luckily untouched by the hail of bullets that ended its notorious owner's life, the weapon's mint condition inspires dread in all who look upon it. Experts speculate that Vance might have killed as many as fifty people had he ever fired the gun - so long as his aim was exact and he was starting off with a full clip - or even more if he had additional ammo clips and remembered to reload!"

Location: Win's Shack, and unmarked location in Northwest Vegas
Method: To obtain the SMG you'll need a lockpick skill of 100 or a speech skill of 55. Don't forget that the Win couple within the shack have the unique hats of Vikki and Vance!

Extra: Vance's 9mm SMG has several differences from the standard 9mm SMG. First and foremost, it does more damage, the damage-per-second is higher, and it has a drum magazine with a greater capacity. Aesthetically, it is in pristine condition with wood or Bakelite grip panels, lacks a stock, and has a different Express-type iron sight. Its high rate of fire, common ammunition, and high DPS makes it a valuable weapon to one skilled in Guns.

Sleepytyme (DLC)

Location: Gun Runner's Stock
Method: Moolah

Extra: Sleepytyme is also considered an improved holdout weapon. It is the only gun that can be used for the (★★) Nyah! See? challenge if the Courier does not wish to turn any of New Vegas Strip's Three Families hostile.

SHOTGUNS

Dinner Bell

"Dinner Bell is a unique variant of the hunting shotgun. It differs in appearance to the standard shotgun with the metal of the barrel, receiver, and shell ejection port seem to appear to be more well-maintained, and that the stock and pump are synthetic with a camouflage pattern."

Location: Thorn, reward from the quest "Bleed me Dry"
Method: Receive the quest from Red Lucy within the Thorn

Extra: This weapon, like most unique weapons, cannot be modified, with either the long tube or the choke modifications, but the weapon already incorporates the choke and has a reduced spread when compared to the unmodified hunting shotgun. Dinner Bell still has the advantage of greater damage compared to a fully-modified hunting shotgun, but is less accurate and holds fewer rounds.

Big Boomer

"The Big Boomer is a sawed-off shotgun with the same break action, 12 gauge that fires both shells at a time, delivering 14 pellets at a time instead of the typical 7 of other shotguns."

Location: Gibson Scrap Yard, carried by Old Lady Gibson

Method: Reverse-pickpocket it from here, or kill her for it (you monster)

Extra: As compared to the standard sawed-off, the Big Boomer has a much darker color scheme with heavier rusting, and the words "Big Boomer" stenciled onto the grip in faded white paint. It excels over its default counterpart when it comes to sheer damage, delivering 20 more points of total possible damage. In addition, Big Boomer also has a slightly tighter spread, lower AP cost, and fires slightly faster. The only major drawback is that the common sawed-off shotgun is classified as a holdout weapon, whereas the Big Boomer is not.

HEAVY WEAPONS

CZ57 Avenger

"The CZ57 Avenger minigun is a unique version of the regular minigun. In comparison, it deals slightly more damage per shot than the regular counterpart. This is further augmented by a vastly greater rate of fire, giving it the highest damage-per-second of any weapon in Fallout: New Vegas. Additionally, the weapons spread is reduced to just over half of that of the normal minigun, giving it better accuracy over longer distances."

Location: The Devil's Throat, on the body of a dead prospector

Method: Simply pick it up, keep in mind the area is invested with Super Mutants and Centaurs

Extra: On the body of the prospector is the unique party hat. Also, the standard minigun holds twice as much ammunition in a belt than the CZ57 Avenger, giving the CZ57 Avenger only 4 seconds of continuous fire before needing to reload, but this does reduce the overall weight of the weapon from 25 pounds to 18 pounds. The name and model of the Avenger is also printed on the side of the ammunition pack.

Esther (DLC)

"Esther is a unique, heavily modified Fat Man. Visually, it has a different rear mechanism, a blast shield, a light-blue body, and a thick clear glass or plastic bed holding the mini nuke. It is 10 pounds heavier than a standard Fat Man."

Location: Gun Runner's Vendertron
Method: Money

Extra: Esther is more durable, never jams, costs 10 less Action Points per attack, is more powerful by 75 direct damage compared to the Fat Man, and is able to use the GRA mini nuke ammo types.

Annabelle

Location: Black Mountain, held by a Nightkin Sniper
Method: Best to due this during the quest "Crazy, Crazy, Crazy" and snipe them from afar.

Extra: Annabelle is a unique missile launcher which appears to have a long history of service. Drawings on the front show a maple leaf with four markings and the stars from the Chinese flag, indicating that the weapon was used during the annexation of Canada and in at least one military campaign in China. The writing on the back of the launcher reads "Annabelle." The drawings and text printed on the weapon are apparently rendered in phosphorescent paint, as they glow in the dark.

FIDO (DLC)

Location: BIG MT
Method: Obtain the blueprints through the main questline of OWB and craft it using a K9000 Cyberdog

Extra: You can obtain two of them if you pass a Guns skill check at the very first conversation in the Think Tank

ENERGY WEAPONS

Pew Pew

Location: Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters
Method: Complete "The Legend of the Star"

Extra: Pew Pew does drastically more damage than the standard laser pistol, but at the cost of 5 energy cells per shot, resulting in only two shots before reloading. It is considered an improved holdout weapon and can be concealed so long as the Courier's Sneak skill is 50 or greater

To all who still care, the guide is almost finished and should be updated by the first of November. I'm working on it to have it all published at once instead of slowly updating it

Hi. Location of the rifle is to the NW. You missed 1 energy weapon - Elijah's LAER. Uses a whooping 15 MF per shot. still not as good as the YCS whic only uses 4 per shot. Location for the LAER is on the Watch Tower of the front gate to Little Yangtze. Hope this helps your guide.
