How to play "Lost Planet 2" without Games for Windows Live

Here I am going to show you how to install a modification to make "Lost Planet 2" playable again on a Windows 10 Computer (Not sure about previous versions).
If you have experience with any modding to games, This should be a piece of cake for you

Obtain Modification

First things first, You have to go download a file which is named "Xlive.dll" from this website:
(Don't worry about it saying its for "Bulletstorm 2" as it also uses GFWL and would work with that title too)

Unpacking / Installing Modification

Next, you need to take the Xlive.dll file from the .zip file you downloaded and place it into your games directory. Easiest way to find the games directory is to go on the steam client, right click the game, Click Properties, Click the tab Local Files, Then press the button "Browse Local Files".

OR

Right click game, Hover over manage, then press "Browse Local Files"

Once thats complete, Drag the Xlive.dll file from the Zipped File you just downloaded and place into the games Directory you opened from earlier. After placing the file in your games directory, The folder should look something like this without any other modifications:

I hope this helps you with trying to experience "Lost Planet 2" without waiting for a fix from Capcom.

@DJgamer88 Just gave it a test again. all working good for me. I'd advise to look into finding if something else is causing the issue. do a bit of research to figure it out. Good Luck

@DJgamer88 No that shouldn't be happening. Unfortunately there could multiple reasons for just a black screen. I haven't tested this method in a couple years now so something may have changed. I'll give it a go myself soon

So it got me to a black screen but nothing is happening, that normal?
