So you’ve just opened up your first world, now what?

If you open up the in game inventory menu and start browsing through look for the terrain section.

It’s best to start with a rough layout of what you are looking to create. You want to create a detailed and busy city? Start with a simple road and work it from there, start adding crossroads and branching the roads off, it’s doesn’t have to be a super neat city design (most cities aren’t) so go with the flow.

Now what?

So your roads are down and you’d pondering your decisions. “Wow that took a while to do but it is looking good!” You day to yourself. Firstly, congratulations, you’ve passed the first hurdle in making a city.

Next, the buildings. Start with the area on the outskirts of the city and work in. For me that works the best. Usually starting from the sea (most of my first cities start by the ocean) and I work in to the insane carnage that fills the busy city area.

Start with the smaller buildings/residential areas, build up from the smaller buildings to blend into the larger sky rise buildings in the center of the city.
