So there's been some add-ons that puts Goatse on your screen and loud noises, which is pretty bad. But now some MORE devs have made it so their add-ons use YOUR COMPUTER for mining bitcoin. here's how to fix that. If you know any more add-ons that have been affected, let us at the GM_PHC (Garry's Mod Public Health Center) know.

Step 1. Deleting Infected Add-ons

If you or someone you know has the following add-ons:

Realistic Player Speed
Smart Interaction
Food SWEPs Pack
Ambient Occlusion
Glue Library
Action Extension
View Extension
Trollface Playermodel
PET MELON
Vulture Wings [Reuploaded]
Futuristic Armor with PowerUPS (Sci-FI) [Cyberpunk]
Map Material Tool
Talking Ben's House
male007 pack + playersmodel
Tall Construct
Lighting Magic

Then pinpoint these compromised mods, and delete them. Your other addons will be fine, but if otherwise, contact us.

Step 2. Education

We at the GM_PHC are concerned for your safety, and would like to inform you. As of now, be cautious when downloading add-ons.
These add-ons are not only malicious, but some have functions that can delete SAFE files from your game directory.

To recover these deleted files, make a backup of your /data/ folder, clean up your files (see Step 3), (where files are deleted from), and verify your games files after cleaning up your addons.

Step 3. Cleaning Up

To completely get rid of all the addons you deleted, hold ` on the main menu for a few seconds to open console and type "menu_cleanupgmas" without the " " and wait for it to clean up all uninstalled files.
Alternatively, you can get to this directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons

and manually delete all compromised addons.

Step 4. What You Can Do

This crisis needs to be ended as soon as possible, and that's why we're open to help from anywhere. If you know anything about these add-ons, please do tell us. Thank you in advance.

i installed all the addons manually from archive sites and when i loaded up garrys mod there were multiple flashing gore images and goatses switching from one to one in seconds and alot of people screaming
