This is pulled straight from my Switch's album after I took a screenshot.

And yes, the whole world just takes on this red haze look. With the people and monsters being black silhouettes.
It looked extra freaky in the restaurant, when I ordered food. Elsje (a silhouette) brought a tray of dark food to my silhouette, and the world stayed red.
If I remember right, when I left the restaurant, the red tint was gone, but the roads/paths had all turned invisible.
(Once I made it home and saved, I shut the game down and started it back up and everything was fine.)
