Marathon Bay

Marathon Bay is a project that was brought on from the idea of building a map from beginning to end, live on a stream. This stream was performed on my Twitch Channel[www.twitch.tv]. The build process took approximately 17 hours to complete, start to finish.


Marathon Bay is a tropical map with a beautiful semi-mountainous backdrop and beautiful white sandy beaches. The mainland is surrounded by smaller islands that protect it from the harsh ocean on which it lies. There are shipping routes that meander their way around the shores opening up any developed city in the area to external trading routes. The beautiful landscape is rich in numerous resources offering potential for massive farming, oil and ore industry alike.

Connections: Road, Rail, Ship and Plane.

Note: there's a dam on the map that has been built outside the playable 25 tiles area. It doesn't affect the money in your bank and it isn't accessible/usable unless you play with, and unlock, 81 tiles using the 81 tiles mod. This mod is not a requirement to play the map.

This is a vanilla map and doesn't require any additional workshop assets. However, the screenshots were taken with a combination of the following map themes using Theme Mixer 2:
