Are you tired of having to choose between chatting with friends on the radio or fighting off the undead? Now you can do both simultaneously!
Allows for the unequipping of a radio without it automatically turning off when placed back on belt or in webbing slots.
Keep in mind that the radio will always have to be manually turned off, even if placed in a bag. Dont waste those batteries now!

FOR CLARIFICATION: This mod does NOT keep vanilla broadcasts like the emergency weather reports on. This is a mod specific for VOIP and text radio chat on MP servers.

This is not necessary. Here’s how to do it;
1. Equip the radio which will open the control panel.
2. Set your channel etc. now the magic part…
3. Click X to close the control panel
4. Now you can unequip the radio and it will still work. Can be in your inventory or attached to belt/bags/gear. Dont think it’ll work if you put it inside a bag tho.

Enjoy

Hey man. First off, love the mod. Makes radios so much more usable.

Request - I don't even know if this is possible, but would you be able to make it so the radio transmission triggers on a different keybind? Having to bring radio up, press unmuite, re-mute, and close radio is a huge hassle.

@Madman_Andre IKR! Some mods add the ability to hold a 2H while listening to music, like the true music and radio mods, but you cant listen to the EBS unless you're holding the walkie in one of your hands. Its literally a WALKIE-TALKIE. lol. We should be able to equip it to our belt and listen to anything, including the emergency broadcasts while using a 2H weapon. Hopefully this mod is patched or they make it a vanilla feature. If not then I'm sure someone will eventually add a full supported mod. Right now its just limited to the music radio stations from the radio mod that adds real music/radio stations to the game. Its weird the devs aim for realism but either go way too overboard with it and things become tedious or they don't add stuff that actually adds realism lmao Makes 0 sense but ah well. Thats why modders are awesome. Some people are even paying modders who update B42 quickly.

This mod should be vanilla. I forgot that it wasn't.

Hello MrGrey,

I hope you're doing well! I'm currently putting together a modpack for a Project Zomboid server called "Infected Chronicles," which is focused on creating a unique and immersive experience for our community through rp! (if anyone is interested reach out to me via messages). Your mod would be a perfect fit for the atmosphere we're aiming to build. I'd like to ask for your permission to include it in our modpack. Of course, full credit will be given to you, and I'll be sure to follow any guidelines you have. Thank you for considering my request!

Best regards,
Techspartan

Is it possible to add a radio filter when using VOIP? I'm surprised this isn't a mod already.

Pls make a version where we can just keep vanilla radios on.
