I'm noticing this character hasn't gotten a lot of support since last year, maybe passing development off to another team? I saw some mentions of Downfall

Slimy shield is extremely weak early in the fight, which is when you're hurting for block on this character anyway. The dark embrace card feels kinda bad because it really is a (sometimes) worse Evolve for more energy. Overall I'd LOVE to see a balance overhaul for the character that makes all the different packages more viable, and less dependent on acquiring specific single cards like electroplating. 2/2

this mod is SO interesting but I think- oh I just spotted the TODO. Yeah, the balance on a lot of the cards is really off. The status synergy cards are really hard to get off because there's not much in the way of cards that generate more than one status at a time, like the Ironclad's Power Through. I haven't been able to get suck to work really at all; it always feels like it's just. Not enough healing to matter for the cost of the cards. I think the Plated Armor cards are a little underpowered without Electroplating and ridiculously overpowered with two Electroplatings. Plate Farmer completely nullifies any benefit a Plated Armor build would get out of using Suck. The balancing on Constrict feels pretty good with a plated armor build that can survive for a very long time. 1/2

it is nice that it is a separate mod though, sometimes downfall crashes so being able to still play with character even with not using downfall in some games, is nice :)

Kinda surprised that this isn't part of the Downfall mod. If a swarm of Gremlins can do it, why not?

Electroplating enables some incredibly nutty combos, particularly when you have multiple stacks of it. Though the nature of this character tends to be pretty binary - either you can stack Plated Armor and become immortal, or the enemy breaks through/outscales your armor and leaves you struggling greatly. Which, I suppose, is fitting for the overconfidence punisher that is the Avocado.

Plate Farmer basically guarantees you'll be walking out of nearly every fight with full HP. Which is something you can already do with the Vampirism event to a certain degree, but it's still extremely easy to pull off.

Even for a unique relic, Tungsten Plate seems like it's excessively powerful. With as many effects that only peel 1, or peel 1 repeatedly, your armor becomes nearly impossible to lose. Might need to play it at higher ascensions to really confirm that though.

Very fun/funny character. I honestly thought it was a bit too powerful since I beat the heart first run with a 40+ card deck, but that might just be being on A1 instead of A20 like I'm used to, and I got pretty lucky draws. IMO Lunacy+ should make it innate, I think Slimy Sheild should be gray (like a status), and more chances to retain block would be cool since I was alternating between like ~80 and ~20 block, but yeah, it was fun
