This method doesn't use any crops other than the mighty potato. You won't even need a crock pot and sometimes you won't need a fridge either. You always get big potatoes, but i made mine into among us (optional).

Skip this part if you already have basic farming know-how.

• Step 1: build a garden rigamagic, make a sizable patch of farmland, dig up the debris, and plow as much space as possible using a hoe
  
• Step 2: plant all of the seeds you can find, water them with a watering can that is filled up at a pond
  
• Step 3: whenever you get a potato, give all the potatoes to a bird in a birdcage and replant any potato seeds you get until you have 9 or more potato seeds

If you skipped the last section, don't skip this one.

Step 1: Trap a koalefant in a pen

• They cant get through 1 wall wide spaces, so you dont need to build a gate or every other wall

Step 2: Hammer down skeletons around the desert to get bone shards
Step 3: Ensure you have a source of logs available
Step 4: Mass produce buckets o' poop (poop is from the koalefant)

• Step 1: Ensure plant happiness
  Apply bucket o' poop to every plot once per growth cycle, or 4 times per replanting.
  Water 4 times per replanting.
  Use a beefalo horn or one man band to talk to all crops at once or do it manually
  Thats it, the only nutrients potatoes consume are manure ones!
  
• Step 2: PROFIT
  

Including tomatoes would result in losing about 3/4 of potato production, which would mean 550 less hunger from the 900 hunger you get each harvest

"But what about healing?" the foolish simpleton asks.

Potatoes give the same amount of 20 hp (720 total) as tomatoes do when cooked.

Cooked potatoes are Wolfgang's favorite food, meaning they will restore 40 hunger and 20 hp each.
THAT MEANS THAT EACH HARVEST WOULD YIELD 1440 HUNGER.
