Hardly Raining | Sugarmill Restoration

This is a faithful restoration of the L4D2 Hard Rain Sugar mill to be "Pre-Infection" I've added ambiance and sounds to the environment to make it feel more alive, vents will hum and the distillery tanks have bubbling water inside them. Most textures like cracked plaster, dry grass and dead foliage will have all be replaced to be green or restored.

I edited a bunch of models for this since the white brick sugar mill building was like 80% models. There's also a few tiny details like windows with bullet holes are replaced and most trash has been cleaned up.


After seeing the large amount of "Pre-Infection" maps that were made, i was a bit dissatisfied with their overall quality. They were good on their own but felt still quite dead. Textures were still old and destroyed, and trash littered most maps. Along with the dead foliage and general lack of ambiance it was really immersion ruining. So i felt like making my own version on my arguably favorite campaign. This took like around a week and a few days to make.


Concerning the elevator, it probably won't be fixed. But you can climb any vines you see on the map.
