HMCS Leduc was built as a fast light cruiser, being completed in 1916 in British yards, built for the Canadian navy. She was lightly armed, only having 4 6 inch guns, but was capable of a blistering fast, for the time, 29 knots. Any idea of sister ships was cancelled when, at the request of the government, a large number of light cruisers were needed to be laid down, and as such a smaller, cheaper design was needed to fill the request.

During the US-Canadian war of 1954-1957 Leduc is still in service as a colonial cruiser, with one of her 6 inch guns removed for more anti-aircraft weaponry.

She is not combat functional, so don't expect to fight anything with her without adding in said capabilities.
