Does anyone know if the in game timer pauses when you pause the game?

Funny thing was I never found out where the hint for the clock was and I just brute forced it. The hint looked like an ordinary prop at the time so I didn't even stop to look at it. But I guess it was partly due to not being familiar with the reference.

Nick, the way you find the clock code info is in a room on second floor, there's a pool table with pool cues set up to show the combo. You can interact with them and it will spell it out for you.

Why 8:10 for clock puzzle? Where is that info obtained?
