Unit Packs Extended

UPE aims to increase the value of the cosmetic unit pack DLCs by making the premium units appear as frequently as possible, and minimise the usage of the generic vanilla units.

They look much nicer than the vanilla units, and after all you did pay for them!

I have abandoned development of this mod for numerous reasons. There may be one or two changes in the future, but largely this should be considered the final version. Also, feel free to re-use aspects of UPE in your own mods.


• Over 200 countries now using DLC unit packs - more diversity!
• Colonial units are used in Europe if there isn't a better alternative
• Muslim and Indian ships now used by neighbouring regions, Africa and Asia
• Improved dynamic colouring of some units.
• Priority system to allow for any selection of unit packs.
• Colonial units appear in Oceania (Australia)
• Compatible with the Mare Nostrum 1.16 patch
• Ironman and Achievement compatible.



This mod will run fine without any DLC, but you won't notice any effect. Below is the list of DLC in order of importance:

• Trade Nations - German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Scandinavian.
• Common Sense Content Pack - Central Europe
• Colonial British and French - British, French, Celtic
• Conquistadors - Iberia Region
• Pre-Order Pack (Hundred Years War & Purple Phoenix) - Western Europe Level 1, Greeks
• Indian Subcontinent - All Indian nations
• Catholic League - Eastern Europe Level 2
• Evangelical Union - Western and Northern Europe Level 2
• Muslim Ships - Africa
• Indian Ships - Asia
