So just because someone has height advantage, all of a sudden they shoot like Chris Kyle? Anyone who shoots in real life or plays FPS games will know this is false.
  1. The default constant 20% aim bonus from height advantage is removed. It's no longer imperative to find high ground.
  2. If unit has height advantage and behind low cover, it gets high cover bonus instead.
  3. if unit has height disadvantage and behind low cover, it gets no cover bonus instead.
  4. Unit height is now considered in determining whether they have height advantage.


More details:
(1) still allows custom aim modifiers from EU aim rolls if you set any
(2) added as +(high cover bonus - low cover bonus)
(3) added as -low cover bonus
(4) i.e. unit has height adv. if target z location + target height >= attacker z location + attacker height + height advantage value (default 3)


Not compatible with vanilla, sorry

If the unit has the low profile perk (get high cover bonus if in low cover), then I guess this unit with height advantage and in low cover will get low cover + 2 * (high cover - low cover)?

Like the idea. Would be great if `added as +(high cover bonus - low cover bonus)` and `added as -low cover bonus` can be exposed as configurable values

This doesn't happen to include a squadsight penalty does it?

Or would it mess with something that lowers squadsight penalty when on high ground?

ok, i tested it, its not a vanilla thing, so beware this mod gives heightadvantage(-coverbonus) to melee attacks aswell, if u engage from high to low ground

Hey just wanted to let you guys know this unfortunately doesn't work with the jet shot ability from Iridar's Jet Packs. Not exactly sure why, but it's a shame it doesn't work as intended.

I rolled out a new update that correctly uses the formulas above. thanks Stukov81-T.TV.

(It was actually related to another bug from Community Highlander that erroneously reversed parameters Attacker and TargetUnit in the OverrideHasHeightAdvantage check. I am reporting this to the CH team.)
