The ranks

The Ranked Mode will function very similarly to the competitive modes of other contemporary titles, pitting you against players with the same skill level and letting you fight it out to earn ranks based on your performances.

It will feature the same rule set as the standard battle royale mode, so you won't need to make massive changes to your gameplay or relearn different aspects. The developers have also stated that they plan on gatekeeping the Ranked Mode to just players who have reached level ten so that they can reduce the amount of cheating that takes place.
Ranked points
When playing the mode, players will earn Ranked Points (RP) which is based on their kills and overall placement in matches. There is more weight behind kills though, so you are encouraged to really orient your playstyle around dealing death to the other players. Below is a table created by the developers that breaks down the point distribution.

As you continue to gain RP, you'll earn yourself one of six ranks which are displayed next to your in-game avatar. These are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Obsidian. This rank cannot be lost though, so the challenge will always be to climb even higher, rather than worry about keeping what you have.

Another interesting twist to the Ranked Mode is that there is a match fee that you have to pay from your RP when entering a match. This is free as you begin to play the mode, but as you improve your rank, the match fee increases. Below are the different ranks you can earn, along with the RP you'll need, and the match fee cost.
Summary
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt's ranked mode will become available on May 6. The developer plans to allow players who've progressed as far as level 10 to access it.

You earn ranked points by eliminating other players and placing high during matches. Your total amount determines who you're matchmade with, essentially being an indicator of your skill level.

The more you gain, the closer you get to the required threshold to progress through the game's ranks. Once you get past Bronze – the very first tier – joining Bloodhunt's ranked mode matches actually costs points. Here is a breakdown of the thresholds and costs, as shared by the developer:
  • Bronze - Default rank/no match fee
  • Silver - 2000 RP/15 RP match fee
  • Gold - 4000 RP/30 RP match fee
  • Platinum - 6000 RP/45 RP match fee
  • Diamond - 8000 RP/60 RP match fee
  • Obsidian - 10000 RP/100 RP match fee
Your rank points are reset when a new season begins, which is also when you'll receive any rewards for which you're eligible.

Eliminating players weighs more as far as earning rank points goes, but placing high in matches is also worth pursuing, since the amount of points granted progressively increases as follows:
  • Player Eliminations - 20 RP
  • Place 31+ - 0 RP
  • Place 30-21 - 10 RP
  • Place 20-16 - 15 RP
  • Place 15-11 - 20 RP
  • Place 10-6 - 25 RP
  • Place 5-4 - 30 RP
  • Place 3 - 40 RP
  • Place 2 - 50 RP
  • Place 1 - 100 RP
