Originally designed to travel in a small flotilla commanded and coordinated by a Project 547 Corvette in raids on capital ships, P247 inherits its tactics of disabling a ships weaponry for effective capture.Still capable of operating on its own (though with less luxuries and range of a P547), P247 is a perfect choice for extra small Space Navies with strict budgets that need to be able to travel between planets and and deal damage for a relatively cheap price.
