What's up, dealers!
This guide includes every way (I know of) to mod DDS.
Note that the game does Not support actual modding that allows modifying game files, etc.

Before continuing, proceed at your own risk! be careful and always make sure to back up your files before changing or modifying them! this eliminates the risk of losing data, save games or changes.

Here are all the mods covered in today's guide:

- FPS Boost
I felt that including this is a must because this 'modification' gives you free performance! Manually changing graphic settings, resolution, res scaling, max FPS and more.

- Increasing Brightness (Gamma) for DDS only (recommended)
Change the Gamma setting without affecting your PC or other games, no software. Use this instead of installing Reshade (Video Effects) if you only want better visibility.

- Video Effects
This allows you to add many effects and filters to the game (just like Nvidia Freestyle)
You can for example add/change: custom anti-aliasing, color correction, brightness & contrast, and many many more. Helps you see at night better, improve graphics or have fun.

- Freecam / Noclip / Hud toggle
Using a program (Unreal Engine Unlocker - UUU) you can freecam or noclip anywhere you'd like, and use many features (like hud toggle, stop time, etc)

- Advanced keybind customisation
A more in-depth keybind customisation, allows you to change some otherwise unaccessible binds and actions.

- Infinite Stamina
By making use of the 'Advanced keybind customisation' mod, you can get infinite stamina easily.

- Increased FOV limit
Allows you to increase FOV limits to fit higher resolutions and ultra-wide aspect ratios better.

- Cheats
(Modify cash amount, item amount, skill points, etc using Cheat Engine)
Not really a mod but we'll include this anyway because it fits.

Optimizing graphics settings in DDS is a simple process that gets you free performance for free!

If you would like to increase the brightness (aka Gamma) for DDS only and not affect anything else on your PC, then close DDS and follow the steps:

- First, head to the DDS Save game directory:
C:\Users\PCname\AppData\Local\DrugDealerSimulator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
(change PCname)
You can also press windowskey + R, look for '%localappdata%' and navigate to the folders

-Find 'Engine' file, right click, open with Notepad

Scroll to the bottom and paste in the following:

You can change the value (in the example it's 2) to fit your liking, but 2 seems to be the sweetspot.
It should look like this:


Save changes and close the file, then start DDS.

By installing a program called Reshade[www.guru3d.com], you can add many effects to DDS (or any UE game) just like Nvidia Freestyle.
This helps you see better at night (brightness filter) improve graphics (SMAA) or have fun with many effects.

Download Reshade, then add it to DDS (click Browse, then navigate to DDS directory where you installed the game, go to steam library, right click DDS, browse files, then copy the location and paste it in the browse menu) then go through the installation process.


Once you're done, launch DDS and press the Home key to open the menu, then load the effects, select the ones you'd like to add (I recommend two: brightness and SMAA) configure them to your liking, then check the 'Performance mode' box at the bottom to save your changes.

If you do not want to use this just to see better at night (even though it's very recommended) you can use Nvidia Control Panel, color correction, increase Gamma setting (I recommend 1.31)
Hit apply and enjoy, this only works if you have an Nvidia GPU.

If you have an AMP GPU, try the same method with AMD Adrenalin, or Intel Control Center.

By installing UUU (Universal Unreal engine Unlocker)[framedsc.com], you can access a Freecam / Noclip tool that allows for great cinematics for videos & screenshots, and many features (like toggling hud completely, freezing time, etc)

After installing the program, open it, (open DDS if you don't have it on yet) select process, choose DDS, then press Inject (if there's nothing selected to inject, make sure to choose "UniversalUE4Unlocker.dll")


Switch to DDS, then start using the freecam! Press the Insert key to toggle the freecam, delete key to toggle hug, and num0 to freeze time.

You can change almost all settings and hotkeys in the program, even the speed of the freecam. You can also hold Alt to fly faster, and Control to fly more precisely.

If you want to customize the keybindings exactly how you like to, you should try this.

- First, head to the DDS Save game directory:
C:\Users\PCname\AppData\Local\DrugDealerSimulator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
(change PCname)

-Find 'input' file, right click, open with Notepad

Once the file is open, feel free to check the action that you'd like to change the keybind to, then modify it.

Example:
Let's say we want to change the jump key from spacebar to the 'J' key.
Start by finding the action name, you can look for it manually or press Ctrl+F and search for it.


Once you found it, go to the end of the line, and change the keybind, in this case it's 'spacebar', changing it to 'J' will make us jump when we press J instead of spacebar.

If you'd like to have two keybinds for the same action (for example, if you want to jump with both spacebar and J) you will need to duplicate the line for the action (jump) and then change them so you have one for J and one for spacebar.

If you'd like to use Control, shift or alt, change the 'False' or 'True' in the middle of the line.

Once you're done, hit save and restart the game to apply the changes.

This is probably the easiest 'mod' to install!
- First, head to the save game directory:
C:\Users\PCname\AppData\Local\DrugDealerSimulator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
(change PCname)

Find 'Input' file, right click, open with notepad.

Now, follow as shown in the screenshots:
-Scroll down to above the consolekeys lines


-Make a space, separating the consolekeys lines and the rest


-Copy and paste the 4 movement lines above into the free space you made


-Change the "Scale" options in the movement lines to a higher value (5 is recommended) and make sure to change the keybinds to something other than your usual movement keys (unless you want to always sprint and not be able to walk, no need to copy & paste) I use IJKL to use infinite stamina.


-Save and restart DDS to apply the changes, simply use the new keybinds to abuse infinite stamina, or your usual keybinds if you don't mind always running! (not recommended)
you can also have only 1 extra bind instead of 4, just copy & paste the 'move forward with scale 1.000) and change it to 5 and assign it to another hotkey.

Find 'Engine' file, right click, open with, notepad


Scroll down, then paste the following:

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV


Once you're done, save and restart DDS to apply the changes.
Once you max out the FOV in the game graphics settings, you'll notice it's much higher than previously! This is amazing for ultra-wide monitors, people with motion sickness or elsewhy.
