The purpose was to rapidly build essential equipment without wasting time in bottlenecks. I enjoy helping others and wanted to also preserve the key findings before they are forgotten. Also, other guides do not seem to have the same high standards as mine and are missing key details in having successful runs.

The guide is for everyone, but much more friendlier to new players. Everything will be explained to be on the same level as those who are the most experienced. The writing will be easy to follow with plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything!

The Extended Family (Relative) quest will be available after 100 days have elapsed in the current shelter and the RV is fully assembled. The radio needs to constantly scan for frequencies and the event is found at random.

A stranger will trade information for the whereabouts of a distant family member. The payment for he first move is 100 water, 10 petrol, and 25 canned food.

The cost scaled up after every move and will eventually require meat too. For 7th move and beyond, there seems to be a consistent cost of 400 water, 40 petrol, 25 canned food and meat.

All family members must have their needs (e.g. Hunger) met before moving. In addition, the Anti-Rad can be taken for those who will do a quick expedition of the trio buildings near the shelter. Full gear is recommended on Hardcore difficulty to avoid the risk of having the protective effect wear off too soon.

The new family member must be an adult and have the maximum 4 traits that includes Proactive.
If not, load an earlier save right before the move to roll for a new one.

The first task is to build a Recycling Center after getting the right level Workbench, Auto-Water & Food, Incinerator (begin the burning process after generator reaches 0.1-0.2 level), and turn off the two lights at the entrance except areas where you are constructing.

The new shelter will need a base of at least 12 Auto-Water Butts (can be scaled up after 5th move), 2 Auto-Pantries (1 feeds about 3.5 people), 1 Incinerator, 1 Recycling Center, 1 Medium Freezer, 1 Ammo Press, 2 Rifle & Shotgun Traps (Home Security), 2 Large Crates, Luxury Accommodations (Bed & Shower), and materials to upgrade the Radio & Work Bench (Upgrade this first to build Recycling Center).

With each successive move, the family gets bigger by one member and the new shelter adjusts in upgrades. The oxygen filter sets the max number of permitted inhabitants and potential moves.

The RV requires more parts to be whole again after completing each journey. The RV parts will fill up more slots progressively as less materials are needed with the new shelter upgrades.

The starting setup after the 10th move and has multiple upgrades already!
