Sir Kibble

"What's inside that armor? Classified! Just like his golden blade, this guy returns to the fight again and again. Pluckiness is the best armor of all!"

Sir Kibble, the recurring iron-clad foe from the Kirby series, has arrived at Aether! He's a lightweight with two midair jumps. He makes use of his trademark Cutter Boomerang both as a projectile and a melee weapon.



Neutral special is the iconic Cutter Boomerang throw. Angle it by pressing Up or Down, and hold Special to halt it in midair, and even charge it into a Hyper Boomerang! Catch it on the way back so you can keep throwing it as soon as you can. Though, you can also just let it fly beside you to hit someone behind.

Up special is the Final Cutter, which I'm sure many of you are familiar with, as Kirby has this same move back in Smash Bros. There are a couple key differences, though - you can hold Shield to let Kibble cancel the move at the apex and go into pratfall. His jab combo can also be finished with a Final Cutter by pressing Special right after you perform a jab 2. It's just like the Cutter combo move in the Kirby games.

Forward special is Charge, a move taken from Sir Kibble's larger cousin Kibble Blade. As the name implies, he quickly charges forward. He moves very quickly, and it's quite strong when hit clean, but the endlag leaves him in a vulnerable position if you miss the move. If you DO land the move, it becomes jump-cancellable halfway through. If he hits a wall, he'll bounce backwards. If you touch a Cutter Boomerang that is currently out while charging, you can perform a hop to hit people above you.

Finally, down special is Twist Slash, also one of Kibble Blade's moves. Sir Kibble performs a spinning slash attack with his cutter blade. It hits multiple times, making it good for racking up damage. You can hold down Special to get a little vertical boost. Like with forward special, touching a Cutter Boomerang while performing this move will grant you a vertical boost, in case you wanna take things to the air.
