Features
  • Opt out of title elections for your current ruler via decision: Your character will no longer appear in the candidate list.
  • Renounce your claims on certain titles in order to prevent claimant factions from targeting you (character interaction).
  • Doesn't change the election type files and thus should in theory work with new succession types added by other mods.

Compatibility
Overwrites the following base game effect:
  • has_unelectable_trait_trigger = { ... } in \common\scripted_triggers\00_elective_triggers.txt

I swear the current decision in the game straight doesnt work. I use it to stop myself from becoming the HRE and everyone just votes for me anyways, its as if it doesnt do anything at all.

Does this one work at least? And can the trait be revoked later?

Also with new administrative government you can end up being emperor without wanting to be Looks like it's a bit more work to make it work though, since that's just in ommon\succession_appointment\admin_emperor.txt and doesn't use any scripted triggers.

@No Name Probably not, though I have not yet looked into what exactly the official new decision to abstain from elections does.
This mod additionally allows you to renounce claims so that claimant factions can't pop up in your name.
