DeLorean Time Machine (Civilian Vehicle)
Doc Brown's DeLorean Time Machine - as seen on the movie Back to The Future (1985).

The DeLorean time machine was Dr. Emmett Brown's most successful invention, a plutonium-powered time machine comprised of a DeLorean DMC-12 sports car that had to reach 88 mph (54.68 kph) in order to time travel.

"Roads?! Where we're going we don't need roads!"

This mod contains two versions of the DeLorean TM (Civilian Vehicle) - one 'normal' and one wheels in 'hover-mode'. Simply select which one you want to use in the Content Manager menu, or use Load Order Tool.

How to Use
Simply subscribe and you will start seeing this vehicle model randomly added to the civilian vehicles in game.

Works great with Tim's Advanced Vehicle Options as well.

Check the local to make sure the asset appears in the sub folder and make sure you are subbed to this mod to view the asset in-game and track where it appears in-game.

Nothing's happening... I even have it enabled and everything... Is there a special option somewhere?

@Sp3ctre18 I have updated the A pillars for all of the DeLoreans. I also added some police vehicles as well.

yeah, it was especially nice to see this thing flying properly sky-high as a jet plane replacement. :D

In case you consider any other hover assets, please keep in mind the biggest need is stuff we don't yet have hover vehicles for. Some service vehicles and trucks are still not covered, and there's also the likely more difficult case of citizens / bicycles.

@Sp3ctre18 - you know, I never actually noticed that. Shouldn't be too hard to adjust the texture to add the A pillars; I'll let you know if I can squeeze it in. I had a couple conversations about the hover-mode vs. flying with the client who commissioned this - hopefully we see more hover cars in the future! I'm also planning on creating a police car variant as well.. at this point why not!

why are the windows...um...all one window? Really loses some of its distinctive geometry without the bars.

But, it's still awesome to see! It's good to finally see the ACTUAL time machine on the workshop - it's crazy there's only been ONE other wheels-in-hover-mode car this whole time and it took this long to get the Time Machine.

Even better, it's both funny and awesome that you made it into so many vehicle types! Taxi too?? I'm close to streaming time but I'm going to risk closing and reloading the game just to load these up. Thanks for being the one to finally get us the Time Machine!
