Script Patch for Gothic II: Night of the Raven is a modification aiming to fix numerous bugs and problems of the original game. It does not come with with any new quests or global balance changes, so it's recommended for people who would wish to play more polished version of Gothic II. Fixes are collected since 2005 to this day and covering quests, dialogues, text, models, animations, textures, worlds, sounds, speech, music and many more. See the full changelog here[github.com].

The mod also contains some quality of life Union plugins made by Slavemaster (zBugFixes, zMiscUtils, zPicklockAnis, zTorchControl and others). Installing latest Union is not needed, but highly recommended.

Start of a new game is required. Saves made in the original, in any other mod, or in any previous version of the Script Patch are not supported. Currently you are also required to join Workshop Beta in game's properties in order to get the mod launcher.

I can prepare the spreadsheet with text for you to translate. Also, some work is being done to implement a web interface for community translations. But it's on pause now.

Is there any way i could contribute to the german translation of this mod?

I speak English, German(native) and Polish(native) and have a couple of years of modding (mainly oblivion/skyrim) under my belt.

I made the silly assumption standalone mods would override the primary launcher/exe, so starting it separately should fix it.

I'm only using union, fps improver, and this mod.

This mod is Standalone type, which means that it must be started separately from the launcher. It's not being applied to the base game, like Addon type mods do.

Also, the new game must be started, as the other saves are not supported.

Please share the list of your subscriptions. Let's check if nothing overrides this mod.

Let's check if the script patch is actually used on your playthrough. Go to console (bmarvinb - F2) and type:

insert statsbook

A special book should be inserted in front of you. Pick it up and read it to see the current build number and date.
If it's not inserted, then this mod is not working (overridden by another mod, not launched properly, etc).
